At the start of this battle I spread my forces out according to my battle protocols against the ever to unpredictable AI. When I say unpredictable I am not joking, luckily there are only so many ways to go and I covered all the angles so to speak.
i recognize the game(EAW), but don't the mod(send me the link to it please). your defenses are well articulated,but a bombard in the middle and a strong vehicle based attack can possibly cripple you. and you should have moved your forces forward to reduce the enemy's options and spare some ships to organize an fast and deadly strike in their key elements.
its RAW, ori... that planet is the easyiest to defend and if the ai is giving you trouble.. you can borrow mine its on hard defending 1 planet it your only hope
I only had infantry and Saber tanks, what I do when I need to eliminate enemy armor or artillery I send the suicide bombers (BARC's)
Oh and try defending Rendili its the easiest planet ever next to this one.
