I have a question regarding characters and NPC's interacting. Will you be killed or captured instantly if you were a Dwarf wandering in Lórien or would Rangers string their bows and question you if you were a strange man wandering in lands near Fornost or whatever.
Will there be interracial hostility of general unease when you enter sacred places?
Just a quick question regarding magic.
Is magic going to be more potent and rare in this mod like in the books, because in the game it takes like 30 fireballs to kill a guy!
This suits the Lost Lands between Bree-Land and Rivendell perfectly, I can't wait to just roam the place and hopefully stumble upon the stony remnants of the three trolls: Bill, Bert and Tom who fell foul to the cunning of Gandalf.
lol I can't wait to see fellbeasts and Ringwraiths as the book described them! I know PJ did a fantastic job, but things like the Balrog were changed to make it fit for the silverscreen.
I'd be willing to help out writing the books in the game or something once I have some spare time :) (which would be in about two-three weeks)
Thanks Eoran, I'll buy it now so :)
What's the estimated release for this mod? I'm not saying it to rush you because that is the opposite of what I want, I want the mod perfect with all the time taken that is required. I'm just wondering when to buy Oblivion on my PC, I only have it on the X-Box :P
lol I know, it's colossal! I said 5 because a previous post said four and the description above said seven :p
What are you guys gonna do for voice actors in the mod? Or should I say game since you're doing enough work for it to be called that!
It's funny how a map nearly five times the size of Cyrodil wouldn't be enough for Middle Earth by a long way and you have to scale it down despite the huge size :P
On the subject of the Balrog, are you going for the giant movie version or what you interpreted as Tolkien's version?(since there are lots of ideas of how the Balrog looked wings or no wings etc, I said your interpretation).
Cool idea, I'd probably stick with the Fellowship too, but hopefully Boromir wouldn't wring my neck and take the ring (but I suppose he'd perish to the Uruk-Hai first).
But there is also a plan for being a tenth member of the Fellowship (I gathered this from earlier posts) which while it breaks the lore, sounds like great fun.
Will the ring play a huge part in the mod like if a character of a weaker will sees the ring will he slowly succumb to darkness and become tempted by the ring? Likewise for your character, will could be something you uprgrade, or else you become tempted by the One Ring.
Brilliant.
I think it has to be cloudy since Barad-Dur is of colossal height and stretches upward to impossible heights, it's made strong as it's foundations are built upon that of the ring.
Very impressive.
Will he start off clad in the cloaks of the Dunedain before casting them away and donning the armour of the king? Likewise will he begin with a broken sword before getting Anduril?
Aragorn just stands behind him, not knowing what to do XD
This looks fantastic btw, can't wait for the finished Gandalf.
This is gonna be awe inspiring to look at when it's got the seven levels.
You guys are doing fantastic work, it looks beautiful, the custom sky really adds to all of your pics.
OMG, I nearly **** myself out of toddler like glee! This going to be insane! I hope you can do stuff like get a company of dwarves together and plunder the mines. But I hope you aren't able to kill the Balrog without the likes of Gandalf though.
This is going to be brilliant.
When is the mod scheduled to be translated to english, if at all?
I don't know, the uruks Saruman made were all strong and muscular, he "perfected" them this way. He ought to murder the orc who kept making fat uruk-hai! They certainly wouldn't be the type to outrun Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli when they flew from Tol Brandir with Merry and Pippin.
Is the next version going to be in English as well as German?
BTW superb job, there is huge detail in the mod and is extremely fun to play, even though I don't understand it! XD
I'm having trouble installing the gaame. I've followed the installation instructions exactly and the game starts up however, it's the original game! :P
