Unlikely, they are still using the Tiberian Sun engine, and while they've done an outstanding job with their mod, some of the stuff they've added is not my taste.

There's no way to "set them up" like in most FPS unfortunately, all you can do is play the skirmish versions of the maps (maps mith "RPR_" instead of "CNC_" at the beginning of its name).
hehe, same for me. Good at modding, mediocre at playing...
true, with multiple refineries you could harvest rather fast.
Anyway, I investigated the matter and while the unloading speed is fine in ROTD, the actual collecting speed is slower, because in C&C the harvester collected multiple 'bails' of tib at once for every 'digest' animation. This will be adressed in the next update.
I'm not sure how up-to-date the TFD-version of Renegade is (I don't have TFD). The best way for you to find out is to try it, I guess ;)
Well, 'Classic' mode is supposed to imitate gameplay of the original C&C as close as possible, and money making WAS very slow in that game.
But I might speed it up a little in the next update, thanks for the feedback.
yes :) more details on how to do that can be found in either the Tutorials section here or the Readme included with the mod package.
There will be one more update soon, yes. Version 2.8.6 is basically finished and adresses a few stability and balancing issues as well as some other minor things.
After that I'll concentrate on other projects.
I'm sorry, there won't be a campaign. I'm not that great at making Tiberian Sun maps and I don't have enough time either.
hm, it sounds more like something is wrong with your installation of ROTD. Did you unzip it into its own, separate folder? It mustn't be installed into the same folder as Tiberian Sun.
The infantry in RA2 uses sprites as well. It's just that the infantry sprites of RA2 are rendered from 3D models and bigger, that's why they look better.
Even without the animation problems Feillyne mentioned, voxel-based infantry would look FAR worse than sprites, trust me ;) A well-done sprite will always look better than a voxel ever could.
thx Nyer :D
TDX is next, hurry up with 1.06c's TDX-specific extensions already :P
Then I'm sure you'll like 2.8, the changelogs of 2.7 and especially 2.8 are bigger than all previous updates were. btw, the 2.8 download should be authorized soon :)
"Includes Understorms UDP patch for better network/internet compatibility."
yep ;)
You mean the repair bay? It's just not on the screenshots, but it is part of the mod, don't worry ;)
hehe, thx for the hint ^^
I didn't expect mass attention this early anyway, I guess things will start to get a bit more active once I release more news and media.
Without competition, developement of ROTD would likely have ended after version 2.61 was released, so I don't consider competition as a bad thing ;)
