Problem with "point light" in BF2 is it can only be one colour for all lights on the map :(
As such I've sort of gone 1/2 way with a slight yellow light :)

While some things are destructible in PR, including some entire buildings etc, lights are not.

That really very much depends if anyone is going to put the work and effort in to make it happen.

Personally I would like to see the Soviet war in Afghanistan as I don't think its really be done before (like PR:F) and has the cold war style you mentioned but don't have the time to make it happen myself.

Ye, even with the map being 8km x 8km, the map is still only 1:30 scale. Even so this still has its advantages by making the gameplay a lot more fluent :D

Yes the SUIT Scope is only for the British Marksman. 4x Scopes where very rear back in 1982 and only really issued to Marksman. Pretty much everyone else gets a iron sight rifle, or SMG :D

First of all, we haven't released any server-side hotfixes for coop, because there is nothing we can fix for coop with a server side fix which we haven't fixed for MP. We have released just the same amount of client side patches for MP as SP since v0.9's release (ie, 0) and when we do release a patch, it will include as many SP fixes as we can fix in the time we have to fix them.

Also "like everyone else are missing the boat with coop gameplay", maybe its you who's missing the boat on MP teamplay? :p
PR is primarily a Multiplayer mod for a multiplayer game and that will not change. Your lucky that we have even included the SP side fully into PR. We can not "treat everything equally" as for starters, we do not have the man power with the right skill sets to do that. We can't get a modeller to code SP stuff can we? If we get more SP guys, then we can look at "treating it equally" but right now, we can only give the SP side as much love as we have people to work on it.

You also apply for permission by asking a PR Manager (red tag). Have fun modding, maybe one day I can scream to you "why haven't you fixed that yet, I want this fixed now!! and while your at it, I want some fastropes!!!" ;)

The maps where not made with COOP support as if they where, they would not be released until next year since it takes so long and so few of the team actually can do it.

BTW, I, and every other PR team member started "at zero", we where not born with the knowledge of modding BF2 :p

"VETERANS-GAMING", you talk like we, PR, owe you something for playing are game, or even hosting it. Let me tell you we do not owe you anything. We treat all our players and epically server admins with respect but we do not owe you guys anything for playing or hosting our mod, epically when you consider how much time, effort and even money we put into crating this mod.

If coop means so much to you VG, you can always make the AI support for maps yourself, there are plenty of tutorials out there on it.

There are just two, you can probaly find more if you look about, epically on BF2 SP.

Ye like the other two comments above me, there are plenty of other decent BF2 mods out there, in fact one of my votes in this years MOTY when to FH2 (a BF2 mod) since I thought they did an awesome job on there new release. The problem is BF2 is not a mod friendly game and you need something with totally different gameplay etc to really take players away from the "ranks" etc.

I normally don't comment on other mods but damn, this mod looks amazing!

I've always been a huge C&C RA1 fan, it was the first RTS I ever played and really got addicted to it and although you guys are doing nothing that amazing GFX wise, you have hit the nail right on the head with getting your models and textures looking exactly like the old game, only much more fresher with full 3D detail.

I must say I'm quite excited now I've seen this, I may even buy C&C RA3 for this which I've refused to buy since it so far away from the old C&C games :D

Keep up the excellent work guys, I'll be watching this space! :D

[R-DEV]Rhino Mar 2 2010, 2:37am replied:

No not really... I dunno where you ever got the idea we copied the idea of being able to look out of a UAV from you. It's really just common seance since that's how they work in r/l... If you look in our forums you will find suggestions for being able to do it from many players.

And at the moment we are not looking into copying your airlifting idea... The idea for airlifting also isn't excatly yours either, BFV had air lifting too, your just the first guys to pull it off in BF2 afaik thou heard that the sandbox mod has something similar thou dunno about that.

If you want to go on about "stealing ideas" I've noticed you guys have got deployables in your mod and you have even called your firebase a "firebase" and have it a spawn point just like PR. Now if you are going to try and claim that you guys where the first to come up with that and do it, your horribly wrong...

Give me a brake on claiming we steel "ideas" from other mods...

[R-DEV]Rhino Feb 16 2010, 12:08pm says:

Like what "ideas" have we stolen from you before? I only just found out about your mod and I aint heard of any other devs knowing about your mod and you have only been released for 5 months making it kinda impossible for us to steal anything since your comment had only been made before our most recent release, and between your comment and your release, we hadn't made any releases of any type so we couldn't have even tried your mod to "steal any of your ideas"...

@ctz, I'm not 100% clear on the rule thou it was in last years MOTY too and PR got 2nd place a 2nd time in a row so I think it only counts if the mod is lower than it was in the year before or if the mod hasn't released a significant update since the last year. Thou you will have to ask the moddb guys I guess.
