How long is this game, roughly? I'll get it anyway and i'm not saying that longer necessarily means better, but i'm curious! :)

I agree on most things, except for the indie scene releasing stuff on consoles first, while it's true for Fez and some other games (but the devs often regretted the choice and went pc first for their next games) you just have to browse desura and steam and tigsource etc. and compare all the indie games you have on pc with those you have on consoles... :P
Anyway i like to have different platforms so i'd like to buy a desktop pc with a decent keyboard and stuff but right now i literally don't have a place to put it so i play games on a laptop and a psp (or x360 sometimes but thanks to pc ports i keep that just for skateboard games and Halos), and i avoid games that require key + mouse to be enjoyed except for some rare cases. Luckily i never was an online-pvp type of player so i don't really care about being cut out from competitive games...

Anyway, back to Broken Earth, i haven't tried it and it looks like a twin stick shooter, so i asked about gamepad support, if it has a gameplay which requires cursor aiming then it's clearly not the case, that's ok too, i'll play with other stuff, no big deal. :D

Well i mostly play indie platforms, metroidvanias, twin stick shooters and other stuff which plays perfectly with a gamepad, it's not a matter of pc games/console games but a matter of genres...If you wanna play fps/rts/mmorpg then yeah, keyboard and mouse is the best choice, but what about racing games, fighting games, platform games, action rpgs (old school style, not Diablo style), 2d shooters etc.? Definitely not...
If you think that pc games = games with a mouse based interface you're quite wrong...it wasn't true back in the days (i remember playing fps games with keyboard only in the early 90s) and it's definitely not true now with the indie scene creating a lot of pc-only platform/action games which play better with a gamepad! :D

And with porting from a platform to another being easier nowadays, there are always more and more game thought for both console and pc play (and those are not ports), and of course most of those games perfectly support gamepads on pcs too...

It's not the same thing man, joy2key can only replace the mouse and keyboard inputs, any game with a mouse-based interface it's going to suck when played with fake controller support...when i asked about gamepad support i meant proper one...
Oh and yeah it means quite much to me because i often play in places where i can't use a mouse and/or i like to connect my laptop to the TV and play on a couch...therefore i rarely buy a game with no decent gamepad support, it has to be something i really NEED and this game looks very good but not THAT good, if i recall correctly Torchlight 2 is the only mouse-needing game i enjoyed in the last couple years.

Well i'm sorry to say it but this perfectly answers my question: i'll buy the game when and if gamepad support will be added. :D

Thank you anyway!

Has the x360 controller issue been fixed? I bought the game but Desura allows me to download v.0.14a and not the beta, did i get it wrong? i thought you just released the beta...Anyway the game looks great, i'm really looking forward to try it!

Great news, what about who bought it on Desura? Could we get a key too? :)

Yeah i guess so, the developer is the same guy and since the game is quite similar to Syobon Action giving it a similar name was the right choice imho. :-)

This game looks really nice, is it (or will it ever be) playable with a gamepad? If it is, i'll buy it as soon as possible!

I don't think, i played the 1.0.2. version and i had only killed the rock, plant and water bosses, i still don't know who the other boss is!

I finished the game in 6:32 hours without even finding the 4th key, why is that possible? Other than that, i loved the game and i'm gonna keep on playing with it to collect the remaining items, but that nonsense ending was really disappointing.

Does this game support a controller? Is gamepad support planned?

I played the 3 level beta and i think this game's really cool, but even if i like hard games i think that tying the sword power to not being hit is maybe a little too much, isn't it?

I'm loving this game, it has some minor flaws but overall is great for its price, i already played 8/9 hours with it in a few days and i'm definitely not done yet. I recommend to try the story mode at Easy difficulty at first, it's shorter so it lasts about one hour and you will learn the game mechanics. After that, you'll be prepared for the harder modes. I'm enjoying the game at Hard difficulty now but maybe i'll try the Harder too. Congrats to CantStrafeRight!
