So, I wanted to make the weapon models in the game use their highest quality model. I know how to hex edit the xmodels to use the highest LOD but, I don't
know how to get the mod to use the actual xmodel itself. Do I have to edit the mod.csv to include the xmodel or is there another way that I don't know of?

The new tracer effects are not showing up for me in first nor in third person, but all of the other effects are working fine. This also happens to me when I use "Supermario's SFX Makeover". Any way I could fix that?

Hey Slikk, what is an appropriate volume for a weapon sound that is loud from a first person perspective, but not so loud that it causes audio distortions that you can hear.
I use Audacity and GoldWave to edit weapon sounds and use audio from: Post Scriptum, Hell Let Loose, Verdun and Escape From Tarkov. The problem is that the audio from these games have varying levels of loudness.

Hey Slikk, sorry for all the questions, but is there a way to delay a certain weapon from instantly firing? For example; I've made a weapon sound that includes a trigger and hammer sound, but whenever I go into the game and test it out, the gun instantly fires before the actual firing sound activates. I looked into the weapon files, and saw there is an line called "FireDelay". Does this option work or is that not possible in COD 2?

Hey Slikk, loving the new update! By the way - What command can I use to bring a specific weapon's viewmodel forward? I would also like to find out how to align a specific weapon's sights. Ex; the portable MG34.

One more question, how do I create a greyscale normalmap texture for a specific weapon? Ex;(~weapon_m1garand_n-gggr.iwi). I looked everywhere on google and the tutorials section of the cod2 moddb section but can't find a single relevant topic.

Hey Slikk, so I was upscaling some weapon textures and I noticed that when you enlarge it past the original size, Ex;(512x512 to 2048x2048), that the weapon skin will sometimes overlap into other areas where it isn't supposed to. Do certain weapons have image size limits?

Hello, I just wanted to know what did you do to convert mono sounds to stereo? Usually when I convert a mono weapon sound to stereo, the player weapon sound works but when the stereo firing sound is applied to npcs, they're silent.

Hey Slikk, what program do you use to convert the mono weapon sounds to stereo? I have OpenOffice but I don't really know which line to specifically change in the soundalias file. I was wondering if you knew or could link me to a tutorial?

I hope you don't take this the wrong way Slikk, but will there be a weapon model update just like in HCTM1? I am loving this mod and all the work you and other modders have put into it, it's just that some of the weapons still have their weird models from the vanilla game like for example; The M1 Garand, The Lee-Enfield and the PPSH just to name a few.

Hey Slikk, do you think that you or another talented modder can take all the weapons you added and death animations from this mod and make it into a separate addon so it can be compatible with other mods? Once you are finished with HCTM 2 respectively. It would be nice to have all of the new models and extra weapons with the death animations in the vanilla game :D (This is just a request, it's up to you whether if you can do it or not).

Slikk, I have another question. So if I wanted to replace the models of the guns to more higher quality models like the ones MCh2207Cz has made. Do I bring over the materials folder into one of HCTM's material folder or both of them?

Example:

Just to clarify in case you lost me, do I need to put the Garand's materials folder into one of HCTM's materials folder or both of them? Or is there a way that I can combine all the HCTM's .iwd files into one .iwd so I can just avoid this altogether? I'm sorry if this is a lot to respond to. I just want to quicken the process of dragging folders around different .iwds.

It's called "Call of Duty 2 Single Player Improvement". It's a patch that eliminates the LOD pop-in and changes the field of view to 90. I have tested it out and it certainly lives up to it's description.
