You have to place game in folder with short path to it.
For example: C:\DNF2001\
For some reason long paths cause instability, especially when loading saves.

It works but, there is catch... It is not compatible with packed in eduke32.exe. You have to replace that one with newer version. This one worked for me:

Dukeworld.com

Choose correct archive for you and extract files from it to folder of mod. Then rename eduke32.exe to _eduke32.exe. :)

So, I made sure I had framerate limiter set to 60 in that launcher and also enabled V-sync in game (and using DirectX 9). Even loaded saved game before entering that area. And result? Informant standing there without any reaction just as before. To clarify things I am using basic Realism+Redux type of mod. Want evidence? Check this short video file of it:

I am having problem in first UFLL mission. Tried to do buddy variation of it. So I managed to get inside villa but I cant interact with informant. He is just standing behind his table ignoring me, even if I shoot him. So I am pretty much stuck mission-wise.

By the way, this is me trying your so far enjoyable mod for first time. It even inspired nostalgia in me to reinstall game. I am using GOG version.

I am looking for Sergeant MarkĀ“s remake of Doom 1 first episode Knee Deep In Dead. I found link in description of one of his older Youtube.com videos about Brutal Doom. But I think I read somewhere that he made newer version of it, is it true? If yes, could you please tell me where can I get it? Thanks ;)

It supports only Doom games, hence name Brutal *DOOM*. :D
But Seargant Mark begun work on Brutal Hexen and Brutal Strife (first playable betas of them were already released to public!). I would personally prefer to have "Brutal Heretic" first, but he mentioned that he will give it look sometime in future.

About that "Brutal Wolfenstein 3D" - I dont think he is interested in it, it uses absolutely different engine than "WAD games" so he would have to learn everything again from beginning and IMHO it doesnt have enough powerful source port that could handle so advanced mod in first place. But like that idea in theory (if strafing was added, I cant even imagine how hard would be fighting smarter and more aggresive nazies without it, LOL!)

Yes, in fact it is compatible with every 90s Doom game (Shareware Doom, Doom, Ultimate Doom, Doom II, Plutonia Experiment and TNT Evolution) but you need GZdoom or Zandronum source port, because it wont run with vanilla dos Doom. ;-)

It doesnt change levels, only gameplay, so you can also combine it with other mods (that dont contain new weapons or monsters) and level packs.

Could you please release wad for hud you are using with Brutal Doom? I have your previous older hud NewschoolClassicHUD set to autoload but this new one looks even better. I am sure that I am not alone who would appreciete this. Thanks for reply! :)
P.S.: Is your Knee Deep Episode Remix wad compatible with Zanondrum and latest Brutal Doom?

Sorry for repeating my question - but I really want to know:
Is it possible to learn enemies to use grenades? (For example to flush player out of cover.)
Is this possible to do without SDK? I just want to know it now because I dont want to hope in vain. Work you did so far is amazing, but I assume that 1.4 is not final version, right?

Chinese guy named Xianyong Bai also has cool tatoo with chinese dragon on his arms. Marty, Warren and Quaranbi are the only guys with gloves.
BTW My favourite characters is Josip. Maybe he is oldest from all charactes but he looks like pure badass.

I have few suggestions for next version of your mod - please:
-extend guard checkpoint respawn time to at least 6 in-game time hours
-make cars bit faster
-I dont know if it is possible to make but it would be great if you could learn enemies to use grenades to flush player out of cover
-make marksman bandolier unlockable in 1st act (20 bullets in infamous are just too few)

I love this mod! Finally I can use pistol as actually useful backup weapon for my sniper character. In vanilla game pistols very nearly useless peashooters with poor damage. (Sometimes I had to shoot two entire friggin magazines in head of enemy! LOL)
What difficulty do you recommend to use with this mod? I dont want to make game too easy but not too hard either. When enemies are realistically resistent then I dont want to feel like a tank. Thanks for reply.
