Hi, I'm Nathan. I am a studying games developer since about December 2005. I have always had a passion for games, I have always played games, and have always dreamt of creating my own games one day and so now I am working towards that dream. Currently I work alone, and am studying just about all aspects of games development. I plan to keep working alone as long as possible until I am financially secure enough that I can start up a large studio and hire other team members to work on higher quality AAA titles. I am currently working towards creating a mod for the Cryengine which I won't disclose any details for just yet(Details to come when the mod is finished or near finished). The images on my profile may hint at what this project may be about however ;) And I really don't know what else to say without rambling.

Description

Since my latest attempt at the colosseum was a doozy (again), I am tempted to restart it, but there are things I CAN fix up to hide details that look crap, and there are things I CAN'T fix up, such as the overall shape of the whole colosseum which quite frankly looks too elongated and stupid.
Anyway here are some screenshots of the latest mess up.

I will start the colosseum again, only next time, much more thought and testing will be put into the planning stage. Before I had alot of niggly problems such as measurements with decimal values such as 4.25785 and if I didn't use that measurement in accordance with other objects, then I would get proportion problems. Of course I could have hidden this sort of thing since it's such a small un-noticable value, but me being a perfectionist couldn't do that.
The other main problem was that the colosseum seems to have 3 center points, not 2. This latest version only has 2 center points, which gave it an odd shape.
I have already tested out the appropriate method of measuring the curvature of the colosseum and it actually does work properly, there are no bulges in the model.
Anyway, next time the approach of design will be taken very differently!
