64 years old, gaming all my life, using Linux since Ubuntu 8.04. Running a dual-boot Windoze 7 and Kubntu 13.04 with MATE, both 64-bit.
Nifty looking roguelike with new "cards" dropped down a la Bastion. Pretty challenging, great music, worth $5.
I purchased this game for Win95 about 2008, and loved its uniqueness in gameplay and its little quirks. The second game was perhaps a trifle more playable, but wasn't as strategically deep as the first one is. My hat is off to Trevor Chan for designing such a great game, and, by releasing the source, keeping a really great game alive!
It's definitely an Illwinter game in the sound effects and interface, and you'll probably going to lose a few or 20 of the early games, until you get the hang of this pleasantly challenging game. The music is great, the graphics are serviceable, and the gameplay is ASTOUNDING.
There will be strategy forums springing up over this game within a month. It's a keeper.
