The polycount is around 1'500'000 tris so far. But it has a few duplicated objects and all the cannons are eating nearly 500'000 tris. So the ship itself has about 800'000 tris.
In the end I think, that my Endeavour will end up between 2'500'000 and 3'500'000 tris.

Yes sadly, we aren't working on this anymore. It was just too hugh for our little team. But some of us are working on Star Wars Battlecry, you should follow them ;)
I'm sorry, no, it's not possible to tell you when it will be finished right now, but don't expect it in near future.
As the modeller of this ship I can tell you that you're right, there are some gaps in the mesh right now but later ther will be the figurine and you wonts see them anymore :)

I know what you mean but no, it won't even look close to identical. When you're standing right in front of it you'd see a hugh difference...
So no, this isn't a option for LOD0.
There's no way to make a flat plane look like a detailed object, a normalmap doesn't work because when you look at the edges or with a slightly angle, you'll imediately notice that's flat.
And the polys won't be any problem. We are now in 2014 and not in 2000, so a few more polys don't change the game into a diashow... ;)
Of course it would be a lot easier. You could make everything out of one poly... But that's definitely not our goal. Every model of our game will be very detailed. You shouldn't see any jagged edges or low res meshes. Probably for LOD3 or LOD4 you will have one poly for the windows.
Jurassic Park has no dinosaurs at all. Only oversized reptilian killing and feeding machines.
But still a lot of fun to watch ;)
I'd prefer if someone makes real dinosaurs, correct size, feathers and overall appereance.

Everything here is copied from Crysis into the FreeSDK and these arent the sample assets. Rocks, terrain textures, and so on were all taken from Crysis.
What did I just see there? A Crysis palm and some crysis ground plants.
I see you are replacing the Crysis objects but you were not allowed to use or even import ANY Crysis asset in the Free SDK! Neiter to use them as placeholders.
You have to remove every Crysis palm, rock, bush, terrain texture or what ever. You have to make everything by your own or use the sample assets.
Every Crysis asset is under copyright by Crytek and EA.

Your Carnotautus has some serious problems with biting!
The "holes" behind the eyes aren't holes to reduce weight of the skull. The bite muscle went through these holes!! So your carnotaurus can't bite, you don't have to feart it. He won't be able to kill you.
The muscle there should be something like this:

You have to buy Crysis (Engine is on the CD) or Crysis Warhead and then you have to download the Crysis Wars ModSDK
I've a question, in which engine are you develloping now? You have some screens of Cryengine 3 Free SDK and all new pics are taken in the Cryengine 2 SDK.

But it has some problems:
The Velociraptor wasn't able to turn his arms like this: The structure of the carpal (wrist) bones prevented pronation of the wrist and forced the 'hands' to be held with the palmar surface facing inwards (medially), not downwards.
And the Velociraptor had feathers...

It is, in summer will the CE3 SDK be released... But I think the Lost World Returns have a CE3-license so they don't have to wait for the sandbox or SDK
ATM it isn't but in summer the SKD will be released
But i think that Lost World Returns got a CE3 licence, so they can work with it
