I know I have no real knowledge of this kind of thing, but as a seasoned Thief player, do you have any plans to tighten the stealth up at all? I think leaning and a brief delay between detection and alarm would be lovely. Eg: Undetected - Caution - Detected. Is something like this even possible on the Source engine? :P
I know leaning is on the radar, but are you planning on making stealth gameplay any more viable?

Regardless, still loving the game. It just bugs me when I take a blind look around a corner, get seen on the spot, and five seconds later the hordes are coming for my soul. ._.

But, to be fair, mauling the hordes with Lucy the SPAS is satisfying enough to still be loads of fun. :D

AHHHHH. Okay, that actually makes a lot of sense now. For a second the plot seemed really weird, but turns out I just misunderstood it.

Come to think of it, having a conspiratorial paranoid guy is always fun in a horror story. Also fun are Generic 1 and Generic 2, who you always know are going to die. RIP the guy who got sliced in half by Igor. :P

And yes, from what I can tell, I will indeed enjoy the rest of this. :3

*SPOILERS*

I'm about three hours through it. I've got to say, I love the mod. Considering Half-Life 2 modding, this mod is darn-near revolutionary.

I only have two real complaints: One, the stealth is fun, but it's entirely impossible when you're being followed. It just turns much more into Nightmare House or FEAR when you have a companion.

Secondly, the story really went WAY off the deep-end with Matthew. I was honestly enjoying the Walking Dead-esque personal story of survival that it started with. When the whole "government is a lie, conspiracy is a lie, everything you know is a lie" thing came in, I honestly found myself thinking 'What does this have to do with the game? I thought we were fighting zombies, not corporate espionage! :P'

Story or no, I'm gonna keep playing, because the game's incredibly fun. Just a few things that really stuck out as weird to me.

I recall, in the feature showcase video, mention of an option to make the objective glow less intrusive. (Making it only pop up when you hit tab.)
How do I activate this?

Oh, gosh dangit. I can't even get 100 MB through the download before it cuts to 0 B/s and promptly breaks. Help? ._.

Man, this mod looks cool. I mean, really cool. Still, I just wanted to drop a suggestion I had: string out the death sequences a little. Santorum and Elementary would've been great, but the Slender Man pops up with no warning and kills you in a weird sequence that kills the mood. Slender is excellent with this because you can see it happening, you can see yourself slowly about to be murdered. Heck, the death in Slender scares me almost as much as the actual game. :P

Heck, for this mod, maybe not even make him kill you in one hit? Maybe one hit and you're on the ground crawling, and you can try to get away and recover? Sorta like a last stand mode. Eh, just my thoughts.

Either way, voted on Greenlight. Looking forward to this! :3

I share some of Cortex's possibly unspoken concerns. The art direction is very nice and very realistic, and the gradual increase in realism is a nice direction. But what about gameplay? Before you release, just check for control, refinement, and lack of frustration. Is the gameplay satisfying? Is there any replay value?

This mod looks like it has a LOT of potential. I just beg of you, do not release a mod that doesn't have a proper control scheme. Something similar to Mirror's Edge would be nice, I just truly hope you can pull it off. If you can't, find out how. Do it to the best of your ability to ensure the public, like I, will be satisfied with the finished product.

Just my opinion. This mod looks incredible so far. Don't rush it, release a full and complete mod. :D
