@PsyWarVeteran if beta testing of 3.0 is wanted I would like to help.

When I come to Pripyat hotel the document has fallen down to ground level and when I pick it up nothing happens. Unlocking room 26 does nothing and I can't find anything else in there. Isnt picking up the document supposed to trigger a new mission or something? Thanks and happy holidays!

This is very sad to hear. I installed this mod just recently and I´m enjoying it a lot! I also started watching his youtube channel in search of hints on how to fix relationships with factions but kept watching because of the commentary. See, I did a hit for Sid (Thread the needle) and a buddy of the guy I hit is hostile to me, which is a problem since I am a Loner. Can I befriend him or do I have to dodge him forever?

I must admit, I had this problem too :D Took me a good 5 minutes to figure it out.

This is confusing to me =) I had the blue usb stick, then I installed the patch. When I got to the PC I went in to inventory and double clicked the stick and yes, it diapered!

*Sigh* The patch is uploaded, waiting for moddb to approve.

Thank you. When I make savegames and make changes in options (video controls everything) and then restart the game, all is gone. No savegames are created, my keybindings is default etc.. Any thoughts? I installed in default location and installed everything the installer told me to.

Every time I restart LA all my settings and savegames are gone. It is like the game soes not save stuff to my user-file. Any help?

Thanks for the reply! But changing lightning (render) needs the game to be restarted, and when I restart its back to static... :(

When I make video changes in options, like resolution or lightning, it does not stick when I start the game again. Im back at 1024 or something.

So many good memories, but the first time I felt strong enough to raid the south military base in Cordon. It had been there through the whole game but I could not get in to it because of the strong military. Until now. Exploring/looting is so much fun!

Thanks gamefaceon84 for the reply. I bet many Stalker fans became addicted after SoC. Different reasons maby (atmosphere, realism, mix of fps and rpg, IDK) but it was really something else, it was raw and it didn't f around. It gave me the same feeling as Shadow of the Beast on Amiga (and mega drive) The atmosphere was almost depressing, if I just ran forward and didn't think I would die.

Since SoC I more or less gave up gaming, apart from ~10h of skyrim and wordfeud. SoC ruined my gaming hobby. Everything else seemed like a mcdonalds/disney ride. Or maybe I stopped looking for other games, I don't know, but all I wanted was another Stalker game. The atmosphere. The suspension. I was really alone in the zone. Survival/horror/treasure hunt/rpg - just perfect for me!
I have been following this game since 2009 when I heard about it. And now it's soon here, I can't believe it. You put in so much hard work, we all know that. I bought a new desk for the monitor and mouse/keyboard, unpacked all the components for the pc that has been in boxes since I don't know when, put them in a nice case, installed a fresh win7. PC corner is ready for Lost Alpha. Or is it? I have the same Q8200, 4gb ram, gtx460 2gb that I had back then, is it enough for LA? I'm not new to PC hardware, but LA is hard to predict with it's special engine.
