I have 43 in longblades (just started new playthrough) and even rat was out damaging me (I had an iron sabre)

BUG

When enemies are preparing their defence, you can just walk to them with your character and kill them all. They don't seem to react to player, only when my whole army is near they "activate" themselves.

Did you cut some of the units? I'm missing some units like Giant Skorpions or Holy Sons which I can see in an older videos on YT (2016/ early 2017)
