This mod is great. The new feel of the mod, with the change in pace to WW1 standards, is refreshing considering how many WW2 RTS games there are. The trench system is great, as it is easy to design impressive trench systems. The focus on infantry/artillery play is also nice, as the vehicles in this mod are extreme late game. That said, this mod has a black sheep;

At the moment I am writing this review, I noticed it causes problems with my Eastern Front Mod for CoH. Now, some might be saying, it could be random. Well, I tried both my EF mod and my EF ostheer beta mod, and both suffer lag issues and crashes. I have an aleinware, so my computer isn't the problem. I suspect that it is in the mod's coding, altering the base CoH game, thus making the EF mod laggy, but it worked twice before.

Overall, an excellent mod, but due to the possibility of hurting other mods out there, I have to give it an 8/10.

For those who know what Company of Heroes is, I will just review what the Eastern Front mods does.
Overview: This mods adds the Soviet Union and soon the Ostheer, or the East Germany Army, to the Company of heroes game. You can still play the other factions, so there isn't a need to panic about not being able to play the Us or the Wermacht.
Gameplay: Playing as the Soviets can be both fun and difficult. You begin the game with no engineers, and upgrades cost both fuel and ammo, so you can do what every Axis player does and vet up very quickly. once you get the core mechanics of the Soviet down (such as deteriorating ammo income due to vehicles) the doctrines are well thought of and interesting. Call in a squadron of Il-2 CAS planes to kill German tanks, call upon the Russian artillery divisions using the God Of War, or call in the very power ISU-152.
Graphics: Since this is a CoH games, the graphics are very good, though the soviet Characters can looks a bit under detail at times.
Noise: The explosions are good, the tanks make their own unique noise, and the Russians speak Russian.

Final Opinion: This mod is a must download for any CoH fanatic, however, if you do want the Soviets in your CoH games, check out the Blitzkrieg Mod, which is just as fun.
