Where can I find the original game?
I've searched everywhere and can't find it.

Can someone tell me where the AI functions are located in the Edain Mod files?
I want to mod a harder AI and can't find the functions anywhere.

1. I downloaded the game years ago from some tpb torrent.
2. Downloaded - still same
3. Yes, we are running the latest 2.02 patch
4. Yes, we are running the latest AotR patch
5. Time countdown is enabled
6. Music pack is disabled on all computers

Did everything but still get the out of synch error :(
Is it hopeless?

We've tried everything - from reinstalling the game dozen of times, to copying game.dat so that we all have the same file, but to no avail.

It's really frustrating and if someone could just give a pointer on what to do I would be extremely grateful.

I have a problem when playing Age of the Ring LAN games with my brothers.
About 50% of multiplayer skirmishes we play we get an out of synch error.
Do you have any hint on how to resolve the issue because it's getting really frustrating.
We've tried clean reinstall dozen of times but to no avail.

Hello guys. I have an off topic question if I may.

I'm interested in coding aspect of modding BFME. In what code language is BFME engine written, my guess is C, but I have never worked on coding video-games, my work is on embedded programming.

Is there any helpful documents or source codes about it?

Please note that I have deep respect for your work and the work of the whole team including the voice actors. This comment and the last one are not meant to be insulting to anyone.

That being said, I am merely saying that compared to the vanilla, the new voice acting is not on the same quality level.

EA had tons of voice actors with professional equimpent so they could make good voice recordings which are tense and fulfill the role of eternal struggle in the Middle-Earth. While on the other hand (again, with deepest respect) the new voices in Age of the Ring seem rather dull and non dynamic.

My point is this - why would the team spend time for voice acting and not use their time and superb talents in other aspects of the game?

Why will dwarves get new announcer, builder and unit voice sounds? Vanilla was perfect and Lothlorien announcer was out of place IMHO.

Will you place some quotes from the movie like boromirs ability for gondor to be yelled like in the actual movie?

I just played this mod and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed.

The details are astonishing and the new variety of units is impressive. Keep up the good work lads!

One thing that didn't fit me was the new vocals. In my stupid opinion they lack the tension of the vanilla voices. Just my few cents here.

Currently there are. The team is in beta-testing phase of the next update, which will contain much more expanded factions of Isengard, Mordor and Gondor, plus the faction of Misty Mountains.

In about 5 months time, the update will be released (but that's just speculated, could be longer, could be shorter, just wait for the news of the team).

Will there be friendly fire in the mod?

There is siege machine friendly fire already in the vanilla, but what about friendly archers, powers, spells?

Glad to hear that ring heroes will now be able to wreak havoc to enemies!

I know that this mod is multiplayer oriented, but playing with AI is the thing that I love to do most.

Will 4.5 bring an update to AI?

In the last version, AI plays terribly, not upgrading troops, not using all powers, not using ring heroes (while collecting the ring).

I hope that AI will be in plan for improvment somewhere in the future.

Most of the mods that exist, the AI is either very easy to beat, or near impossible.
