Hello all
we have been making good progress towards our public release. The first 12 chapters of hl2 are now in final beta testing and the highscores system is up and running in alpha. we have a lot to do to the high scores website but the scores are all going into the db and the pwnage is sweet.

Official test servers are running in the UK and US. If your interested in running a ranked highscores server then please contact us. The score system will work on lan games as well as online as long as you have an internet connection.

hopefully the beta testing will start this weekend, but no doubt we will have a few changes to make and patches before we go for a public release but ive been playing a lot over the last week here, and it all seems pretty stable. Public release will follow soon after, but we do want to take time to tune the gameplay with the testers and add some more polish so if you cant wait then please register as a beta tester.

some of our community have been playing your mod and suggested it to me as one that would be good fun in coop. our mod also features an online high score table so there would be a section for the zombie stress world champions :P making the mod into coop weill give it great exposure get lots of replay value as well. if you are interested please email me so we can talk about it.

yeah its all queit atm, because we are still in beta and the last public version we released was 6 months ago so that has been played to death by the community. however we are checking in features and content for the next BIG release sometime in january and as soon as the beta testers are happy we will compile the linux version and go for the public release. if you cant wait and want to play some sweet smooth coop asap then you are welcome to join our friendly community of beta testers you can join here..

yeah your maps wont work becasue we havent released the sdk for follow freeman yet. however i am the one with the job of getting maps working in the mod so ill be happy to help you get them working. please contact me on our mod forums or by email and ill see what i can do.

starting a server that way will start a listen server and it may work for a bit but it is not supported and has many features missing. ALWAYS use the source dedicated server. its free, its much faster and its stable.

due to the large amount of traffic our server is dropping some of the downloads before they are completed. then if you try to open this incomplete file it will say files are corrupted.

use the game flood mirror its seems to work the fastest for us.

We are pushing for a beta test release of lots of content in a few weeks, if all goes well. if you want to play it then sign on to our forum and join as a beta tester then i will email you as soon as we release. Im sorry for the long wait but we have been working hard, and the past 5 months has flown by. after the feedback from the first release we decided that we should take some time to experiment with the Source engine and see if we could do some of our more advanced and seriously cool ideas, we have developed many long term features for our mod which we are sure will bring much joy to our players and we are determined to see them through development. We also recived the support of several fantasitic single player mods to be added to Follow Freeman coop (i will be annoucing the lineup for the next release very soon on our forum). We are in the final stages of our next release which will contain at least 75 maps which we have converted to coop, and new game modes and of course theres the new batlezone part of the mod which has some incredible potential for the mapping community.

We are averaging out at around 3 maps per week. so we are happy with the progress and good things take time to do. Follow Freeman is a unique coop mod because of our system of reworking every map and developing the supporting code for every feature in that map, if its camera scenes, actors or vehicles, it takes time but gives fantastic results. we do not want to release lots of versions and updates with known gameplay flaws and bugs.

So as i say, we are just getting ready for the next release and have no major bugs or issues to deal with we are completly up to date with valves latest sdk updates for the best rendering and performance. we have just lots of testing and polishing to do. We are really excited about it and cant wait to get it out there and see what the gamers think.

yes servers will be coming we actually took down our servers until we release the patch we are testing because it kept freezing the machine and our isp was getting annoyed having to reboot it every 30 mins. also some server companies have said they will host ersvers when we release the linux exe
