A shortened version of Beryl was designed in 1990s alongside the basic rifle. However it was first adopted in 2004, after lessons from Iraq and Afghanistan wars proved that 9x19mm sub-machine guns are no longer effective on a modern battlefield. Thus Mini-Beryl replaced SMGs used by drivers, vehicle crews, heavy weapons operators and military police. In 2009 an improved version was adopted, allowing use of Picatinny-rail mounted accessories.
Model made in Oxygen Light - a 3D editor for Operation Flashpoint. It has 1055 faces in first LOD.
