Thank you! It's meant to be a higher-poly but less realistic HL1 style.

(Also Dark Interval is my favorite Beta mod. You guys probably tire of hearing that, but it's nice to hear praise from someone working on such a good mod.)
Thanks! That's nice to hear.
Yeah, like I said, it's ambitious. This isn't meant to be a small mod. Actually though, some of the chapters are rather short. After taking the credits out, there are 14. After taking out short chapters, it's probably somewhere around 9 or 10. Still, it's gonna be nearly impossible with just me, so I need help. I'm hoping some people reach out.
If you've played Point Of View, we're planning on putting in a few references and tributes to the mod, the first one being the name of the first Vortigaunt that speaks to you: Xonxt, the name of the Vortigaunt you played as in PoV.
They're keeping Breen's design, and most likely a similar voice, I believe.
Thanks for the reply. With that worry gone, I really am nothing but excited for the mod!
I wonder, not to be cynical, but if you've tested the weapons you get from Op4 in every area you have them in to see if they're balanced? I feel like this is more grounded than something like Half-Life 2:Overcharged, and while I KNOW that's unbalanced, I have hope that this mod will find a way to counter the feeling I got from Opposing Force itself that there were not only too many weapons added, not for weapon variety, but just for the sake of it, and that the weapons and enemies were both stronger than they should've been.
Read that in my head as Civil Protection 2077
I love this, personally, I prefer it over RtB:R, but something I have to say is that in some segments, especially right after Barney leaves you for the second time and you're wandering parts of the city alone, I'm freaking TERRIFIED. This becomes like a horror game in those parts, with all of the voices, and the shadows I see in the corner of my eye. And with that building that has some kind of transmission system upstairs that turns on out of nowhere and has intelligible speaking, it feels like I'm somewhere I shouldn't be, and that's... kinda great. I like the horror aspect that you've added, intentional or not, although I'm fairly sure it's intentional.
It was supposed to be the TWENTY-first, I believe, but it got offset for quality fixes.
Just gotta say this looks great, always wondered what Half-Life could have been with more time. I can't wait.
