Expanding Fronts

Mod review

I'm going to try and do my best to not sound like everyone else here. I've played Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds my whole life (born in 2001). I have so many fond memories of playing this game. When it got a bit stale I took a break, until I heard about this mod. This mod is crazy awesome and I'm so proud of you guys for sticking it out with such an old game. You've made great breakthroughs on such an old game engine, which is highly respectable.
P.S. If you throw a bunch of Knights of the Old Republic/Old Republic stuff in this game, I'll give you $100.

Republic at War

Mod review

Republic at War is a "mod" for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. The reason I put quotations around mod is because it doesn't even look like a mod. When I say mods look or don't look like a game, I generally don't exaggerate. I bought Empire at War just to get this mod! There is just to much content for this to be considered a mod. And now they are coming out with a new update! To tell the truth this mod has a LOT of potential. Campaigns can be created and stories can be told, but that is not what is important. What is important is that you have a solid structure to build upon. In this genres case it would be; the waging of battles, the textures of the planets, the difficulty of the AI, and the quality of the units. This mod has a VERY solid structure, you CANNOT STOP! This mod will raise the bar for all other mods, and cause lazy modders to get off their ***** and do some work. This mod has a VERY BAD drawback though. The HUGE BONUS the =CIS gets in the beginning of the game. There is a way you can stop this though. The Pause button in your ally, use it to your advantage and plan while the enemy is motionless. For all those experiencing problems with the AI and their aggressiveness, take over their economic and Capital Ship powerhouse planets. Their economy will falter and victory will be yours. In all I give this mod a (MEDAL OF ACHIEVEMENTS) 10/10

1860s Old America

Mod review

1860's Old America mod is clearly ahead of its time in Mount and Blade Warband mods. The models are beautifully done and the scenes are true to themselves, making it feel as if I am in the 1860's. There are some minor issues, but they are fixable. The modding team has done an AMAZING job at creating such a mod. I'm not trying to kiss someones *** here, but this mod looks like a game! That's pretty good for a mod! In closing, this is a must have for any American History buffs. It is a MUST HAVE for anyone wanting a new mod to try out! I rate this mod a SOLID 9/10. I am looking forward to the renaming of the different classes in multiplayer.

Blood in The West

Mod review

By playing this game, I am amazed by the player models. Even though there are certain missing textures and meshes, such as the nurses and the town elder clothes, it still looks great. It would be better if the towns were remodeled to their corresponding features, such as Minas Tirith's streets or Baradur's streets and city wall colors. Besides that there are still a bit of bugs and lag. I crashed nine times when turning to look at my soldiers during a battle. All of these problems are just minor issues. They can be completely blown away in just one update. This mod is truly amazing for such work put into to it. I am looking forward to it in a complete state. Hopefully the multiplayer can be fixed! After the fact I give this game a 7/10. A true mod in my book.
