It's CAS(Close Air Support) and ground attack, not a heavy bomber, but yeah make it less agile like Hunter-Seeker said.

This build and August build don't work for me, just start up to black window, then error message, April and May builds work fine.

When I run this game, comodo firewall shows it as having over 1000 connections to loads of diffrent ip's. Why is it doing that on main menu??
Yes that's a T-34-85 and it's already ingame, that's probaly why.

Populous: The Beginning dosn't use SAGE or any other WestWood/EA engine, it uses a modified Magic Carpet game.

So you are using sketchup for your game models.. lol.
Lots of people do it to old games, they normaly use the models&textures and try and make out there their own (tho this is normaly to Modern/WW2 content which is less unique).
On a technicality, what he is doing is illigal, not just by using original models, but also by using the name and copying the game like for like, because that is copyright & IP.
The moral situation in my opinion is (somewhat/slightly) changed, due the company is nolonger making money out of this product (althought they made a remake/sequel for XBOX, but I can't see it effecting sales of that), the game is decades old and he is crediting them rather than ripping it off as his own.
If the company see's this as damage to their profits, they'll do a blizzard/bungi on you and stop your game/mod, otherwise they probaly know of your game/mod but take it as a complement to how good their game was.
So unless this becomes a pay to play game or Rare gets uppty bungi style, there would be no problem.

Sagesrage, I would love to know where you got the numbers for it only costing $1.5k to be imported, due you can't integrate it in to your game code yourself, which would cost much more than $1.5k.

This is all silly boycotting a game still tho, I've seen worse happen to games personally, like them make stuff for one game, not release it with the game and pack it in to the sequel even tho it was all already done.
If everyone started crying when they didn't get what they were promised in games like what is happening here, we would probaly have atleast a few thousand boycott groups with more people than this.
Also, he says alot of "maybe"s and says "probaly most likely", he dosn't say "we promise" or "its definite", one thing you must do is take what developers say befor the games released with a pinch of salt and not overreact, things change.. its ONLY A GAME, not a life support machine.
Aslong as its not on the box/steams online description, that you are buying the game with, that means its not promised/definite.
Now, get on with your life, sure, whine about it with your friends or other L4D players, but don't be so childish as to make a boycott over it.

Also please learn not to take critisim or negetive speculation so badly, though I can understand why you are frustrated.
So seeing as you know what poly count is, does this mean that you will make 'low'/medium poly models and then use these highpoly models to make normal maps for them?
Also I think it would be more realistic if you used a free game engine(or paid) and also did not make the game a MMO, but instead just normal online server system like how a FPS does it.
Also none of this is in an aim to mock, but to be serious and try.

Seeing as the maker is 14, that he has no knowledge of poly counts, that hes going to make a "custom engine" and that this is going to be a MMO..
I'd say that this is quite truly doomed to failure and anyone who can't see that is blind to the effort that it takes to make a game, an engine from scratch and especialy even just to make a MMO from a prebuild engine..
