Hello battlefield fellows! For everyone who dont know me, i am around the battlefield scene since it began. Everything started with the legendary battlefield 1942 tobruk singleplayer demo, after i got the game and the battlecraft 42 editor was released i started to like doing maps for this game. Years passed and while i have not been realy impressed by the second installment of the battlefield franchise called battlefield vietnam i came back to the moddingscene with battlefield 2 where i propably did the most maps and skins so far. At this time i am hoping to see a true successor to the old battlefield franchise that keep me continue my affectation to please you all with maps and skins! If you have any question regarding mapping overall, texture creation, skinning or anything else graphic related just let me know and i do the best to help you out! Best regards JONES

thanks, well its way more complciated then that when you mean the recent ai proiblems we are experienceing, no debug message helped yet to solve the issue, so its way more complicated, right now i still have no idea what it could be, it could be anything, until this is fixed there wont be any update, so dont hope for updates on our moddb page the next time, the mod is on hold till this issue is resolved.

i dont use sounds of bf3 or bf4, so what do you wana tell me with that, our mod is totaly legit and doesnt use any illeagl content, so i dont understand why you bring this up?

well.. as it looks now if i release as it is you wont be able to play any map in coop/sp as all, again all crash and i cant find the reason why not ecen with the debugger so you can expect a release later this year or never, i have almost no support recently and doing 90% of the debugging work alone... it looks everything but good right now sp is not wrking at all

the next version of alpha project will feature a common ai system that seperates weapons into assault rifles, carbines, lmgs, pistols, shotguns, smgs and snipers, the weapon of choice use one of those ai files depending what kind of weapon it is

Like any other bf2 mod, the ap folder where all the files are located need to be put into the .../EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/mods/ folder, of corse will the location of the battlefield 2 root folder be wherever you installed the game, its that easy, i know no other game where it is that easy and obvious where mods need to be put at, dont the folder called "mods" already speaks for itself?

There wont be any more maps but the one we have in the works atm, we already have way to much maps to finish at the moment, i doubt there is any place for another map if you want to see 0.3 this year released...

Exactly what Rain08 said, if you want to know the weapons RPM check its tweak file in the weapon_server.zip handheld folder so you know what it is using ;)

Zatar Wetlands might get rain since it already got a dark thunder theme to it, so rain is a possibility there, but unfortunately rain will only be possible for smaller layers since it cause lag from my expereince with lost jungle...

For now it will be always there but that might change because we might get additional coding for this which would allow basicly everything, even different sky lighting and skydome textures but atm its only a static effect without end ^^

hehe thanks guys, the weather or layer depending effects give alot of posibilities, we could even do a "burning" layer and add lots of fires all around the map and smokeplumes!

Other ideas regarding weather are: snowstorms, sandstorms, foglayer, cloudlayer, raining, snowing, etc... :D

i dont think you understand what i mean, our customization system is complex its not that easy, when this should be balanced then every rifle need a grip for customization so we need to add tons of new models, animations, kits only for the sake of vissuals, tha will take another year to do... this wont happen sorry, no vertgrips for customization, some weapons will have them some not you wont be able to choose it, thats how it will stay and i wont change my mind, there are things that go to much and thats one of it, i am already wasting half of my development time on customization, every thing else beside that is delayed and far behind, no single map is finished eighter because of this and 0.3 will never release if we add another item to customization, you guys all only want and want and want...
