TheRenegadist Hi, MTA:SA works fine with the Steam version. It also works fine with several other variants of the game.

So if you prefer playing on a copy that has all of the original music tracks, it will likely work with it too ;) The MTA:SA installer will automatically adjust the game files for you if needed.

Install GTA:SA then download and install our mod.

All major versions of GTA:SA (Steam included) are supported.

Huh? What's wrong with it?

It should work just fine on Windows XP.

Although you should consider upgrading your Operating System as XP is no longer supported by Microsoft.

You just need a clean installation of GTA:San Andreas. If you have that, you can just download MTA:SA 1.3.5 from ModDB or from our homepage.

This mod requires GTA:SA version 1.0, but if you have some other version the installer will try to downgrade it automatically for you.

Yes, it's compatible with all 1.3.x servers.
Which means, it will work with any 1.3 server, as well as any 1.3.5 server (and will work with 1.3.4, 1.3.3, etc. servers too).

You can download it by pressing the red 'Download Now!' button above the Description section.

We made a small update to 1.3.4 to fix the debug messages spam so I have re-uploaded the file. If you have downloaded the previous one you can just use the built-in updater to get it up-to-date.

Enjoy.

You might want to try the latest version (1.3.3 - Moddb.com ).

If it does not work for you, make sure you read this topic:

and make a post on our forums:

If you legally own the game (retail edition), it should work just fine if you used the downgrader patch (without any other mods though, just to be sure they are not the cause).

However if it does not, you should ask on our forums:

It depends on the server you want to play on. 512kbps ADSL should be good enough for playing on smaller servers (12-16 players), while 1mbit+ should suffice for the rest.

Launch the single player mode, then go to audio options and scan the folder manually. Once you start MTA:SA, your audio tracks should be working fine.

The installer package was updated and reuploaded, so it had to be authorised again by ModDB staff.

Yes, however you will have to find and download a working gtasa 1.0 executable (either for European or North American edition of the game) first. Once you have found it, you need to place it in your GTASA folder. Luckily, it will not overwrite any files as Steam uses a different executable name.

jhxp - - 26 comments @ Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas 1.0.2 released!

This is a complete installer package, so you don't need to download previous versions of the mod.
However you need to have your GTASA to be in European or American version 1.0. If you have a more recent version of it (or German/Australian edition of the game), you can use our converter for which you can find a download link in the mod's download description.

Main advantages are:
- full integration into GTASA - you can join the server, search for one, start a server yourself or change settings directly from within the game
- much bigger possibilities - you can add custom models, vehicles and sounds to your server in a way that everyone will see them without the need of doing any modifications to their gtasa install
- better synchronisation - allows you for smoother gameplay
- more advanced scripting system - we use Lua as our scripting language which is easier to develop gamemodes and other scripts in; we have client-side scripts available which you can use for eg. drawing your own GUI for a gamemode or utility script; we offer much more scripting functions and events related with the gtasa world (eg. setting game speed); resources system
- sophisticated Map Editor, which gives you possibility to create your own maps with an ease, comes with a decent tutorial
- can provide various styles of gameplay (deathmatch, freeroaming, racing, roleplaying, logical-platform modes, ctf and more) - all within a single mod, you choose what do you want to play
- open-sourced, actively developed, with new testing mod builds available everyday, also opened to suggestions and contributions from the community
- ...plus more!
