Can anyone tell me whether I need the original disc to install/play COP Complete ? I have the vanilla game installed on my PC, but have borrowed the actual disc to a friend.

I have the CS complete mod installed and it's working great, but was wondering whether there was a no-cd fix for it ? Just hoping I can play without my CD swoooooshing after every level loading section.

Ok, just installed 1.0006 and it's fixed the crashing(for now). Seem to be getting a better framereate aswell. 1680x1050 everything maxed FTW !!

Oh I get past the bald guy at the VERY beginning, head out ahead to the doods at the campfire, speak to one of them, click a response, then crash. It's happened twice in a row.

What's the deal with Complete 2009, is it more or less bug-free ? Also, how does it stack up graphics-wise with Lurk 1.1 ? I understand it's basically vanilla gameplay-wise. It's a shame, lurk 1.1 looks friggin sweet and I can't wait to play it but can't get past this beginning part without crashing !

It's the first time I've played SOC since it originally came out, so want it to work flawlessly as possible. Someone pls help !!

I'm having the exact same problem mate. I get a CTD everytime I try and finish the conversation with the guy you talk to before Wolf. IS that where you're having the same crash ?

I didn't try esc there, but seems it just rolls over to the next conversation then crashes from what you say. Let me know how you get on with the reinstall.

Silly question maybe - is it only the gamedata folder we should copy into the THQ/Stalker directory, or gamedata AND the graphical settings folder ? I only put the gamedata one in then vamped up all the in-game settings to max. Looks sweet, great job mod creator !

Anyone know if there's an obvious mistake we coulda made, or perhaps if we have some graphical setting on we could try changing ?
