Born in former CSSR in the 70ies, Ivan Ertlov grew up as Johann Ertl in Lower Austria. During grammar school, he managed to sell his first games (mostly adventures for C64) to DiscMags. In the mid-90ies, Ivan Ertlov was among the best render Artists in Austria with his shows "Welcome to the Cyberspace" and "Atomic City" being shown at the Knight Games events with hundreds of thousands of visitors. As travellign journalist, Ivan created the docs "Rockin USA" and "Adventure Down under". After several years of studying, DJ-ing and journalism, with an obscure degree earned, Ivan became a teacher in Lower Austria. He managed to survive the kids and pupils for five months before going back into media business as Online Writer for the JoWooD AG, developer and publisher of the "Giant" and publisher of Gothic. With his own label "Homegrown Games" Ivan created two independent developed games being shipped worldwide before quitting JoWooD in 2009 and focussing on Indie Game making alone.

And just to be clear: I have created, produced and / or marketed games that were made with Unreal, Gamebryo, Vision, Unity and other AAA engines. So I know what I am talking about ;)

First Person Shooter Creator

Originally a simple tool from 2006 to click together your own shooter, in the meantime thanks to open source code deveopement and heavy Script-based modifications a neat engine if you have the time and energy to use it properly.

If you go down to the core of Shader language, DBPro SourceCode adjustements and FPI scripting it`s more demanding than UDK or Unity.

However, many kiddies and ignorants who are playing around with UDK / Unity and prefetched assets claim it´s not a proper engine and run around crying. Most of them because deep down inside they know that despite all their theoretical fancy engine capabilities they will never be able to put out something as great as serygalacaffeines FPSC creations.

The possibility to "downvote" a game makes it hard to hit Steam Greenlight, as many modders / indiedevs would downvote literally EVERYTHING made in FPSC.

It is! However, Serygala has a great reputation for bringing the engine beyond its limits when it comes to creating artistic and overwhelming environments, while we have a rather GONZO approach (Throw in all assets we have and see if it works out).

So visually the games can´t be compared, Spyras Art direction is lightyears ahead of ours.

Tody, you are frozen during the important dialogues. You will also notice that there you have a high-contrast shader. This means that during these dialogues, you are thought to stand still and listen to the information. THe longest of them can be skipped by jumping (space), but it`s not recommended.

When you get stuck during running around, C will get you out 99% of all the times it might happen.

No, that would spoiler too much. The game is intended to be played through at least twice, once as adventure.styled run, and once with dumb shooting. If you do that and watch the envrionment closely, you will get almost everything.

Troubleshooting for "not launch problem":

1. Here is a recompiled exe:

Dropbox.com

Rename your old one, copy the new one into your folder and start it.

2. Try to move the game folder (the whole one) to another Directory or harddisk, just out of c:\program files or other system-used folders. C:\itd or d:\itdgame should be fine.

3. Make sure your DirectX, Divx, Xvid, Windows Media (wmv) and ogg codecs are up to date.

Contact us if it didnt help.

The game comes with a short quickstart guide and a full manual and in there is described everything you need (and obviously missed).
I agree that 20$ is pretty much, it will be cheaper here on desura. But there is 200 - 400% more content inside compared to SMS, too.
