Potential problem with the supply lines idea: Couldn't players just move their drop-off ships near the Forerunner foundry?
My first thought when I saw the freighter was: "EFFING FANCY PANTS!" And that's a compliment.
The textures for most the ships don't look as good as some of your other ones for some reason. Are they the finals?

I'm really liking the new ships. The Contingency looks great, really BA. The new frigate, scimitar, and longsword are swell (although I really liked the old scimitar :( ). The bulldog and strike frigate look AMAZING. Overall the only thing I'm not really liking is the halcyon; the proportions look a bit off.
BTW, what program are you using for the 3d modeling? I'm interested in such things, as a matter of fact I'm taking a course at school but the program I'm using is very expensive.
If you want to go faster, learn how to code/model and help them out.
Which one can't you use? The carrier frigate?
What I mean is, Ringleader can't copyright the design for the basic frigate, it's Bungie's. Right?
Sweet update! Glad to see that you guys are getting back into the swing of things.
It's probably a bit late in the mod to be saying this, but I recently took a course on 3D modeling (in fact I'm still in it) with Rhino. I don't think you can use models from rhino to mod homeworld, but I picked it up REALLY fast. I would probably be able to adapt to a different program fairly easily.
The catch is there's no way I could buy a program, I'm deep in debt right now. So if the program is free, I would like to know if I could join the team.

Almost any UNSC ship can be equipped with tactical nukes. All the way down to longswords.
Very nice! That assault frigate looks wicked. I like how you used homeworld 2 style drawing, you know the weapons a different color. Are you going to do that for the ship icons in game? That would be sweet.
What is the purpose of the assault frigate though, when compared to normal frigates?
I am confused about the PDS gun. I don't see a barrel or anything, jusst a little optics lens. Is it a missile launcher?

I think, along with the bottom pod, the two little sparkles at the tip are very interesting...Perhaps a command ship that has capabilities similar to the Higarran Fire Control Tower as well as two upscaled SPartan Lasers (the 'sparkles'). The lasers would quickly cut through shields but do little structual damage.

EDIT: Sorry StarScream, I thought that it was going to be in the middle of the map.
I'm mostly ignore on the principles of modding and texturing and stuff, but would it be possiblew to have a texture fold down and then up where there was no surface? If this is possible, Would it reduce the strain on the CPU?

This is a sweet ship, like the little overhangs for the fighter bays, but where are the PD guns?
This thing is the bomb! I really love the grav lift and engine placement. Well xecuted and overall awesome.
Guys, even though I am really glad you got this update out, it it kinda disappointing..The mobile colony is severly lacking in outside detail, causing what little there is to look out - of - place. That being said, I still really like the idea, and the inside texture looks great. It just needs a little work.
The rear view of the mover looks awesome, but the front is again lacking in detail. Perhaps adding four engines (coinciding with the four little..um...things on the back) that start in the front with spice it up a little.
The kissing - squid - thing looks really nice, and I can't wait to see it texturing. The only thing is, well compare it to high charity. It has all these little protrusions coming out the spine. Could you add a few of those please?
All that being said, I wish to restate the fact that I really appriaciate the effort, and I do like these three concepts, despite my (hopefully constructive) critisism.
I have seen far to many dead mods where the last comment is 'is the mod dead?' I will not let that happon to halo homefront! Long live halo homefront!!
So the UNSC HQ can produce their equivilent to the battlecrusier of HW2? Spiffy.
