How high does UT3 have to be patched up to for this to work? Where can we find the patches?
I looked and couldn't find them. The first beta of renx didn't work for me either. :( I want to reinstall ut3 and patch it and get the newest renx beta to see if it works. I really really want to play renegade again... but in the ut3 engine it would be so much more rewarding.

The gameplay will be true to renegade.
On custom maps you may be able to go through water though.
Renegade was amazing.... still is actually. It just sucked before the patches came out. After 1.037, renegade was good... and it keeps getting better as more unofficial patches are released.
man I LOVE the sound track for the moddb trailer (not the embedded youtube.. though the youtube one is still nice.)
The moddb one just has an "epic" feel to it... like music that would play when a hero appears in a movie when the good guys are about to lose a battle.
....well CNC Hourglass kicks such an unbelievable amount of a** that you really shouldn't worry about it. Hourglass was THE map for crazy ctf in CNC Ren.
I hope this mod isn't dead.
Please keep working on a way to re-compile the extracted archives.

I downloaded EVERY BLOODY MAP SEPARATELY ALREADY!!!!
I'm just right disappointed now in the amount of time I "wasted" (well wasted though imo) downloading each individual map.
First it blew my mind, and then I blew my load.
from far away it looks better than crysis- but I assure you that it's just some fancy texture work and it will surely run a bit better than crysis.

some of the rock textures in this picture look a bit like sedimentary rock- rock that was formed layer by layer through compression.
It looks like it has multicoloured layers... which is kind of odd.
(Look at the centre of the picture and then look at 3/4 up the picture... if it was a face- look in between the eyebrows.)
