Today I finished this mod 100% for the first time. I had played it once, not bothering with most secrets, not getting to the end credits, but I still enjoyed it throughout.
The mod features a high difficulty that mostly stems from requiring great movement skills. This can even extend to more "advanced" techniques such as air-strafing, speed-climbing ladders and some more subtle details about the longjump. In this regard the mod, even if it isnt combat-heavy, is very challenging and rewarding for those who don't mind it.
The mapping work in this mod is absolutely amazing. Every single part had its own atmosphere, intricate design, and there were rarely any dull moments. There are also quite a few very nicely designed puzzle parts that make you think out of the box. Along with the well-designed maps there's also lots of humour in this mod. The humour is often bizarre but easily understood and it keeps your mood up very well which can help in some of those parts where one is bound to get frustrated.
As for issues in the mod there are two places in the mod I can think of where the level didnt work as intended.
1. The first is in the train-maze with the direction-switch of the rails. Even if you press the direction switch the train cant travel past the junction and stops. For anyone who has this problem I'd recommend backing the train up a little bit before the junction, press the button to switch to the direction you wish to travel towards, wait for the animation to finish, then doing a quicksave+quickload. This should let the train travel past the junction.
2. In the climbing tower there are 4 platforms one can raise. They were only able to raise about halfway for me. I don't know of any fix for this and I had to get past using noclip instead.
I think playing this mod all the way to the end-credits has been one of the best HL experiences I've had. Thank you for making such a great mod and I wouldn't mind seeing more of your work if you pick up mapping again. :D
