Well, Homeworld takes place in the distant future, millions of light-years away in the Whirlpool Galaxy. Ardent Seas takes place 5000 years in the future, in our Galaxy. The Ravagers have nothing to do with The Beast, nor does AS have any lore connection to Homeworld.
This was mostly just an experiment in Substance Designer.

that explains why most of the races in homeworld are human-like, all the other colonise were succesful.
Or maybe the ravagers have wiped out quite a few human colonies in this galaxy
