I got threatened by a Marshmallow.

The mod is pretty good. Alot of the races have variety and strategies. You have titan units as your end game and they can be countered well. The balance is mostly fine and on point. Your early game units are still useful even when titans are around.

There are new races to play around. All of them have a special mechanic and theme related to the race in question.

Give some of your time to play the mod. You will enjoy it.

If the main mod has become boring or looking to spice things. There are two addons. Unlimitted addon and Campaign. These two will increase your joy on the mod.

So no reason to not try this gem.
Please Marshmallow dont hurt me...

Mafia II

Game review

When people talk about popular video games' long-awaited sequels they often decide to be negative towards them and offer random and confusing explanations as to what makes them feel the way they do. It's like hating a brand new toothbrush without really knowing what's wrong with it.

Mafia 2 is brilliant and misunderstood like almost every other game nowadays that actually utilizes the medium. Mafia 2 is a journey about routine and mundanity in a form of a video game. By seeing the cruel crime-life via the eyes of average Joe the players get some unique perspective that other games are not willing to provide. The gameplay is not about making the players feel special or important, vice versa. There is a sense of belonging that Mafia 1 did not have. In the old school games' fashion, Mafia 1 was built around the main character, he was the core of the universe. Everything in Mafia's world was about crippling the character, it was about unbalance. Guns gaining recoil only when the protagonist picks them up, traffic rules only applying to the protagonist, gangsters attacking him when someone else drives into their car etc. There was no immersion or sense of belonging, but fortunately, that was fixed in the sequel.

Mafia 2's basic formula goes as follows: Vito Scaletta struggles through his day just like everyone else; gets out of bed, eats breakfast, drives to work, spends his day working, drives back, eats his supper and goes to bed. Rinse and repeat.
Grand Theft Auto has spoiled us, making the crime life look like some kind of an epic journey through the ranks, but Mafia 2 puts the player in the role of an errand boy, showing the "boring" side of criminal life. Every time he takes a step towards success, he takes two steps back and that's where the rare shooting segments spark from. They have context behind them instead of simply sending you off to shoot people for fun. Shooting is never the main objective; it is not the way to get things done, but only a consequence of biting more you can chew on your own. Towards the end the shooting parts increase however, making a good example of how low the main characters have fallen during their journey; getting more desperate and simply trying to survive, which, winding back to the beginning, was not the original vision they together shared. The optimism tends to bite back.

Binding together the narrative and the gameplay is something that Mafia 3 lost with its clichéd revenge story, which, in the end, was an easy route for developers to make a movie-wannabe instead of making an interactive adventure.
