Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.
Instead of a transport vehicle this chimera concept is intended to provide close ranged support to nearby infantry. This support is provided by the regular weapons and the side mounted weapons that are usually only fired when a chimera transports a squad. This variant however, foregoes transport capacity for a more numerous crew, allowing the side mounted weapons to be fired at all times.
Currently the side mounted weapons can be the default lasguns as it is used on the regular chimera and also flamers as shown on this video. Other upgrades will be coded to allow this chimera to serve as a versatile light weapon platform.
