Fighting wars all across the galaxy, the Scrin military excels at adapting to every possible environment and battle situation. While harvesting operations are usually only launched with a small, standard protection force, every expedition force has the research and production capabilities to field special units designed to be adapted quickly to all combat needs.
EVA battle intelligence report LHX-1138 lists the first sighting of the Scrin Heavy Weapon Platform TK-421 as 3 months after the beginning of the Invasion. Dubbed "Guardian" by GDI forces, the medium hover tank impresses scientists with its sheer flexibility. Data retrieved from wreckage and databases indicates the tank is part of a series of basic Scrin military vehicle drafts whose actual design is only ever finished when the combat specifications have been assessed. As such, the engines, shields and weapons are specifically designed to work at peak efficiency in earth's environment against both Nod and GDI technology.
Up to date, a multitude of different variants of the TK-421 have been sighted in battle. Among these are medium battle tanks with rapidly regenerating shields, artillery units that mimic MLRS vehicles with suicide drones, mobile shield batteries and even a few with mutated Mastermind equipment, able to tear apart enemies by opening warp rifts right inside of them. It is yet unknown whether this diversity stems from using the same design for different vehicles or if there is actually only a single Guardian design that can be re-fitted on the field as needed. Regardless, caution is advised whenever facing these war machines.
