In recent years, the increasing tiberium infection has made earth´s surface more and more inhospitable - while this had initially been only a problem to civilians, at the time of the Third Tiberium War even military ground operations are endangered by this scourge. Seeing that it doesn´t surprise that both Nod and GDI have increased their efforts to keep air support available even for smaller strike teams.
In order to ensure a strong air presence even in areas that are haunted by the constant ion storms, Nod has engineerd this small air platform. Even though its capacity is low in contrast to a real air base, it has the bonus of being cheap, self-sustaining as well as small and simple enough to be deployed on forward outposts.
The model was yet again made for TWA, thus it re-uses original game textures. The design was made to resemble a mix of the TW airfields and the TS nuke silo - appearing both high-tech and simple at the same time.
