Doom 3 is absolutely best in darker areas imo. Ambient and machinery noise used for enviormental sound texturing, little to no music soundtrack, along with pulsing and swaying enviormental lightning makes Doom 3 so spooky immersive...

It is not "Now available on Steam"... Perhaphs "Coming Soon" or "Available Soon" could be more accurate...

J. Carmack said so, not me hehe. And it does make sense, since BFG Edition was built with consoles in mind. It's only upscaled on pc. Check game cfg, you'll see that even if you change resolution in game options to 1080, internal resolution remains at 720.
It's a bug. Found this in J. Carmack's archives:
Game dynamically reduces horizontal resolution to try maintain constant FPS. You can disable this with
set rs_enable "0"

0.05 makes still to much of that killing my eyes blue/violet ambient lights haze).
0.02-0.03 is optimal
My latest and optimal, in my opinion settings:
Yeah, it's common ATI problem. OpenGL based games never worked propertly on Radeon cards. Poorly designed ATI OpenGL drivers, not supporting so many of OpenGL extensions.
I've experimented little bit with cfg.
Settings below makes mess effects balanced:
r_hdrkey 0.1 (if set more than 0.1 hdr goes over powered)
If SSAO is set to 0 textures are too bright, over exposed and over contrasted. When set to 1 SSAO makes all that also messy and muddy. Confusing, isn't?
SSGI brutal power is equalizing SSAO messy muds, blends it with hdr over powered colors. That makes textures look natural, over burned and stained dirty metal.

Picture is still oversharpened and overexposed but at least not as messy as was before.

Ooops, i have annoying problem:
Game is rolling back all my graphics settings to very low state everytime i start it. But when i launch Trentphrozo, or any other mod this is not happening.
Strange, isn't? Any idea what could be the reason of that?
Also, game picture is way too bright and oversharpened. It makes texures and models looking really awful, not to mention of driving me to insane flashlight shadow (it looks like white brush trail on screen).
I'm afraid O'Neil's behaviour is not any better hehe. He is still not folowing sometimes and i have to restart checkpoints, not shooting when it's needed (but starting shooting when is too late hehe)...
Oh, i forgot of one more thing: game keeps reseting my video settings at start. It is not a big problem, but have to go and change them everytime i launch ACM. Any solution?
