You use the numberpad on the right hand side of your keyboard to switch teams, although you need to select the units first and assign them to a team by clicking the player dropdown menu and selecting a team (Player 0, Player 1, etc).

Drop the folder inside your 'Mods' folder, launch up the game and activate it in the options.

Note: it's only playable in Multiplayer and the editor.

As a dev from the GAW team I think I speak for all of us by saying we don't appreciate the re-uploading of the Galaxy At War Demo. It was removed from the page for legitimate reasons, the image you have posted of your so called 'Permission' from Juju is clearly satire. You're going out of your way to purposely damage the reputation of the mod as we are approaching the release date and for what reason exactly?

If you have a problem with the Mod you can Private Message one of the team members such as me and we can sort it out otherwise I'm failing to see the reason for such disrespect to the mod. Even if we did give you legitimate permission, we have the right to change our decision.

I hope you do the logical and mature decision to remove this as it would be much appreciated otherwise actions will be taken.

We aren't miracle makers unfortunately so don't expect everything to be polished to maximum, please take everything you see on the mod page with a pinch of salt because of course it's not going to be perfect, this is the GEM engine we're talking about here.

Also please in the future use the forum if you want to discuss the mod in such great detail, as it stops the Main chat from getting clogged with one comment.
