If you edit autoexec.cfg in the valve directory it will affect all games and mods that don't have their own autoexec (including HL: Echoes). The CVAR you are looking for is called default_fov.

I would also remove the "If the value 2048 doesn't fix the crash for you, try 4096" recommendation. Vanilla GoldSrc can only handle 2048 edicts because the net code uses only 11 bits for edict ids. Last time I checked, the value wasn't even clamped properly, so if you go over the 2048 limit, you will run into all kind of nasty issues...

And there are few other things as well, I'll send you a PM.

To address the "ED_ALLOC: NO FREE EDICTS" issue it would be best to add "edicts 2048" to the liblist.gam file. The "commandargs" option doesn't actually work. That way players will be able to launch the game directly from Steam without having to add special launch parameters.

The bdef community is rather small, but there are few regular players like Romny Hasagawa and his gf, Hunter eye, Lysy, Poonlito and others. If you check the Server Browser from time to time I'm sure it won't take too long to witness at least one of them playing on my server. There are also new players joining every now and then.

PLut is still working on the game, and there are some really nice improvements coming! Hopefully, it will attract more people to the mod.

And the mod only takes about 80 MB of disk space! ^^

The server is back online now with pve_complex added to mapcycle. Fast download should be available for players without necessary map files.

I think there is nothing wrong with the map, maybe design wise it's not on the same level as the other two maps, but gameplay could be great - I can't really tell, since I didn't test the map properly yet. Well, we will see...

Erm, you could just use my decompiler for v6 models and then recompile it for retail version.
