Do we have to get the 2.02 community patch even if we play only Edain Mod ?

Here is my custom "____edain_maps.big" file with a zoom-out option of 800 (instead of 100-200) :

(I was the guest guy) I already did it with all the maps and it doesn't lag in 4k, but I have a strong configuration (Ryzen + 1080GTX)...
The game is really awesome just with that.
But I need to do that process every time you update the file "____edain_maps.big" ^^
