I need this in my veins.
giev meh monies, plox
Holy ****! I've waited almost a decade for this mod. Great to see that the release is close.
Looks like a massive improvement over Sky Mesa most notably in the architecture and lighting. I hope you can add in some good gameplay there as well. Good luck.
I love bolt action rifles especially when you've got a scope attached to it. Feels more personal.
Seems pretty ambitious. Can't wait to see more.
Yeah, I actually wanted to release this on my 100'th birthday but that didn't happen obviously. :(
Yeah, however the screenshot is from an older version of the official DNF game (apart from the unfinished chainsaw).
Original shot here: Duke4.net
This is the greatest mod ever conceived by mankind.
Behind the "SCRAM" title right under the S.
Thank you, sir.
It comes with the DLC.
In the fourth screenshot in the lower right corner is that an Imp head on the ground with one of its eye balls dangling? Damn, that's brutal.
I'm instantly reminded of Gunman Chronicles when I see this screenshot. Nice work.
While you're at that I'd also suggest adding a mouse sensitivity scale option. The default was set to some insane number (for me at least, I hate high mouse sensitivity) so I had to lower it via the console.
Cthulhu with testicles as hands.
You're on a quest trying to find the lost episode of Half-Life 2 inside Gabe Newell's gut.
About 12. Made some amazingly ****** Unreal Tournament maps as well as trying out the Valve Hammer editor.
Yeah, I absolutely hate bullet sponge enemies. That's why I usually play games on Easy or Normal nowadays. It's a lazy design decision imo.
Blood is a great example of making the difficulty levels vastly different from each other. Not only do they add more enemies but they progressively get more aggressive and they aim a lot better on harder difficulties. Some enemies even receive new abilities (eg. the cultists only use their primary gun on the two easier skills levels while on normal they can throw a stick of dynamite at you. On the harder levels though they throw a PACK of dynamite!).
Yeah, exactly my thoughts as well.
You live up to your name...
I kid! I kid!
Ugh, I hate this running around looking for ******* key cards (archaic design that belongs to the mid-nineties games IMO). The mod looks really nice but the enemies take WAY too much ammo to kill; two shotgun blasts to kill a houndeye on normal? Too much bullet sponge stuff. I kinda like how easily the marines can kill you though.
Real men don't shave nor partake in this sissy thing called social life.
I planned on adding the chess game but ran out of walls and sprites. Actually, there were a lot of stuff that I planned on adding (including a section in which you would teleport to the base as it was burning while being chased by a monster) but the limited resources said a big "FU" to that.
It's close to release so there's really no point since you're going to play it yourself "soon" anyway.
I didn't post it because it's more or less just a "art" or "museum" map (hope you know what I mean) and not your normal run-and-gun map. However, I won't stop other people from creating threads and the like of course.
"Also, I hope this doesn´t sound harsh but I didn´t get at all what was I supposed to do. I pressed like a dozen switches -ala Roch- and entered all rooms (based on automap) but nothing seemed to do anything related to progression."
You're supposed to find 9 switches found throughout the base. Hit all of them and the entrance to the underground tunnel will open. A scripted sequence should activate when you approach the blood-stained box located in the large storage room (won't make sense unless you've watched the movie though).
Lol, why does this comment have negative karma? Dumbasses.
Pretty much. Not surprising in the least.
Voted. Looking forward to this.
One of the best game ever made, only surpassed by its sequel Freespace 2.
So glad I bought these games when they were released; still got those huge PC game boxes neatly lying around.
I made the profile yesterday so that's probably why. I'm not much for attention though as I prefer being more in the background but I appreciate your words as well as the guys below.
It's just me working on the mod. :)
I'm gonna paint the moon... reeeed...
*facepalm* Yeah sure, because I was completely serious.
What are you two on about? This is all real.
I believe the glitch with the nuke sign at the end is because of the sprites covering the ceiling and floors of the same sector and thus they conflict or something when you try to activate the switch. You can still activate it however; try and stand on the very left of the sign while spamming the use key.
Love that kind of warm lighting with a mellow but still very visible yellow/orange tint surrounded by darkness; gives off this really nice and friendly feeling. Keep it up.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I've had nothing but positive reactions from people who've played it so the excruciatingly long development time was well worth it. :)
I'm making another map as well though it's not very original. I might also do a sequel to this map... in the next ten to fifteen years or so.
Protozoid slimers in the garbage bags...?
Da, dis will wörk.
Hm, I don't recognize the screenshot -- I'll download and see though for myself. :)
Am I the only who can't get this ****** embedded video player to play the actual video? I press the "Play" button, sit and wait for 2 minutes, but nothing happens.
Thank you for uploading it to YouTube at least.
3D Realms isn't dead. :)
Wow... simply amazing.
Blood looks nice; very FEAR'ish. Much better than the original.
"Smashed up brat!"? :D
"When it's done"... pulling a DNF on us? ^^
Looks nice, especially the iron sight.
Heh, I wondered how you were supposed to get up to the second floor. Now I know. :P
She need to lose some weight.
Beautiful soundtrack. Really touching.
Yeah, now THAT'S what I'm talking 'bout. Lets kick *** and chew some bubblegum!
That thing scared the crap out of me when it zipped right past my face when I was looking down the shaft from a pair of broken elevator doors.
Looks like Gears of War.
I like what I'm seeing...
Pretty impressive video and it looks pretty damn good too so far.
Keep it up!
