Anyone knows how to make the starfighters fly? I can use W A S D to steer around and space to increase throttle but i have no idea to make the thing actually.. fly.

I have some questions regarding armies and promotions.

1) How do you get promoted without buying a commission? I slaughtered lots of enemies but still not eligible for promotion.

2) Can i use lances? I can't buy them anywhere and if i kill lancer, i can't take his lance.
