Hours trying to get this running. Restart my pc also. I must be the only person on earth with such probs. I went back 90 pages here and surfed google and not a word or for my windows 10 system.. I am just going to delete it and forget it. 4005 was like pulling teeth to play and played it little but it worked.. I prefer coc mod and I have 1000s of other games to play.. Thanks for your hard work but it does not replace the hair ive pulled out in the last 3.5 hours.. See yah..

I seen a post in comments on the ModDb Stalker CoC mod.. I have played the Stalker games with and with out mods since SOC came out.. I think it is both interesting and makes me afraid if true at all it would ruin Stalker.. What might you think?-->

The announcement of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is very exciting for every stalker fan but at the same time its a little scary because with this game being developed we are getting new developers (from what i understand none of the old developers are involved?) from epic games who created fortnite and gears of war to name a few. What scares me a little is the game we know and love from the trilogy can potentially change and have a different view or new features that can potentially break the lore of the stalker we love or become too linear (i hope to god its not) will the new developers understand the stalker world?
What is exciting though is the game is being developed on the unreal 4 engine and its potential beauty it can give us along with it being extremely modable. I have high hopes for this game and at the same time a little worried, i just hope it wont be a let down and stay true to what we know and love

I hope to see Stalker 2 and tho yes the unreal 4 engine is nice for what it is and games etc it is used for it is not the XRay engine. I do think devs can keep the lore and what Stalker is but the Xray engine is unique- no other engine can give us the Stalker feel and environment or NPC' or A-life or Anomalies etc- many have tried but can not.. If anything maybe the Xray engine can and should be updated but it can not be replaced and still be Stalker- period..

Example and You can make the same argument for say games like Fallout 3 and NV and Fallot4 on the gamebryo engine- the engine sucks but if replaced the games would not feel or look or be the same..

I got the game running from the 4 part down loads and seems to run and look nice all maxed dx11 settings the lil I have played so far.. Next I have to kill the bandits at the factory and get the info with my simple start pistol.. I died once- walked into some water and rads killed me- I only had 1 vodka and health kit but did lil of nothing and drained me- I died.. Lucky I had saved just before and avoided the water next time.. Thanks for your hard work and a Holiday gift mod :)

Thank You- I downloaded the 4 parts.. If someone would make a classic scope mod for wide screen 2560x1440 I would be very happy.. I do not care for the mod scopes- I like the original ones.. I hope you all have Great Holidays and a Wonderful New Year :)

1 more trick or secret you might have picked up on is- in some of the Whirligigs the detector shows an artifact but it will not materialize- it is high up caught in the vortex.. What I normally do is- ease up on the whirlies just close enough until it activates while quickly moving back- and go around if others around me until the artifact falls and I can get it.. Another thing you can do for some anomalies and if the artifact is showing is get to one side and shoot it- it will push the artifact out to where you can pick it up- can also be done with detector in one hand and pistol in the other- SOC you have no detector but do in CS and CoP..

Each anomaly has its secrets or path you can take and can get through them with out protection or artifacts- but they all hit ya with radiation and some more than others.. So if you have plenty of vodka or anti rad or meds and medkits and use your bolts you can get through them if you learn its secret or path.. Once you learn the path you can easy get through them quickly.. I have played SOC or mods like 50/50 and now CoC a total of like 10,000 hours- I can tell yah they all have its own path and I can nearly get through them with my eyes closed with just the bandit jacket you start the game with but I will not unless I have plenty of vodka or anti rad and med kits [yellow med kids best]- I rarely use the other meds other than the one that gets yah through a blow out if I am caught out and can not get to shelter in time- what is it antibiotic?? I sell the stuff like vinca and pys block etc..

Burner types do do it or certain ones in all of the games but not all- if yah notice and I think by default and reason why you slow down is when you get hit by the burner you auto go in to crouch maybe like you would in real life you would get closer to the ground because heat and smoke rises- but I normally hit my space/jump key or crouch keys and once up you can move freely- might it be a bug or built in by design I am not sure- but the slow movement is because you go in to crouch no matter if you meant it or not- if anything the animation is bugged because it might not show you as crouched.. Try that- it should help.. Also you might have noticed from throwing bolts what ever- when the burners light up they will lean in towards you but if crouched they might go over and not touch you- low crouch could allow you to move under them or some anyway..

I was playing 1.5r2 I think it was but I could not buy a exo from the mercs and the trader showed me as enemy even tho I did jobs for them etc. I had the trader perk and would sell me everything but the exo and none of the mercs even wore them.. Its bug I guess and just a beta ver so I went back to 1.4.22 which I never deleted but all works for it.. I am waiting for I guess 1.6 will be the full? I am also waiting for Lost Alpha DC .4005 said out soon and will add lots of cool stuff but I will have to find a classic scope mod for it- I hate and will not play with mod scopes.. You do know Blue passed- right- like 2 years ago?? made me sad.. I hope you have been doing well and have Great Holidays :)

This is really looking nice.. I have been waiting for this to mature and read .4005 is out soon.. I hope someone makes a nilla scope mod- the mod scopes is the only thing I do not like- I will not play with them at all.. I have been playing CoC a lot waiting for this.. No- not really

I got 1.4.22 installed and working- I see no stash icons and not sure if works during storms yet..

Am collecting stuff- making bots attack me at the boat and using its cover.. Seems once you trade with a bot his money is gone- maybe is others I can trade with.. Grind Baby grind.. I guess if a storm starts I will run back to the boat- in some maps I guess I will be to far away from base and no icons I will die until figure some system and time they/ storms might start and can be closer to base.. Oh ya I can see in settings the time they start- we will see :)

ops- seems I have been running 1.4.12 the full download but the patch under it is 1.4.22 I am going to try an install it.. I made a full back up of my game and saves..

Its funny- now I have near about every weap- pistols- shotties- rifles- snipers and hmg and a few bullets- lower quality but I have them..

I killed a bunch of guys and zombies and mutants near the boat- 2 storms came and I ran out of ammo 3x and wore out 3 guns.. I was out of Caps and few traders buy much of what I have.. I was standing off to side during second storm a bot comes up talking Russian and I do not understand- he gives me reverse hit job and can trade over 3,000 caps and actually buys some of the goodies I get from mutants and chit- a few others can buy 1000 caps of stuff- but I am poor again and do have half working weaps- I need more caps and a suit or mask..

I was second deck from top and was on top a while until ran out of ammo and basically trapped up there- the only way down is the front- I was blasted.. I laughed so hard.. Bots can 1 hit kill ya and they can see ya and blast ya from a mile away in any weather or veges blocking the view.. 2 storms seemed to come a short time after each other and seems by sound they was different and fx- after next wave I got a break and could run out and loot next to the boat- even got a bear detector.. I need grind a suit- mask something

Stalker has all ways been a slow start brutal grinding all head shot game.. I learn- I like it.. I might Bitch a lil too :)

I sorry I did not mean to hurt feelings or seem like I was complaining- I love Stalker and bleach tastes good too.. Um it seems I get no icons- not for stashes or safe places during storms or anything- I changed vid settings to see if helps from dx11 to 10 to 9 and did not change- and yes am getting a lil more use to the game.. I have seen a 1.5 change log- when might it come out..

had thought of changing carry weight but is no way to do it and being guns etc have to be 100% to sell them and the cost of simple repairs is like 12,000 rups it is no point.. Now I pick up nothing unless a better weap than what I have and being cost so much for repairs I will have good weaps for a very short time- seems can only make a few rups off of foods meats bullets etc- no detector and cost so much and can not buy masks etc.- I guess I will never find artifacts-- I guess the point of the game is to die a lot and frustration.. I will play on or for a while but seems futile- broken guns with 3 bullets each- no suite or mask- everything 1 hit kills ya even if from across the park and if that does not kill ya the storms will- and can only maybe afford 1 med kit- lol great game.. I play all my Stalker games on master but this is way crazy and lil to no advancement in my future.. We will see or until I give up on it..

I checked all settings- it is none that says anything about or turns storm safe place icons on off- just see warnings [radio and siren] or [kill rip apart or turn into zombies]etc.

Thanks- I will check- I changed nothing like that- but during the storm the only thing showing was a bed icon at the boat- lol I died a lot- it was a trip- was zapping my azz- I was trying to hide everywhere and snorks and chit after me :p :)

No safe places is showing on the map during the storms- I died a lot- had to run from the sawmill all the way back to the boat with snorks and dogs after me..

OK been reading Faq and answers a lot- it did not say I need change elua like older mods.. Best I can tell I will just place the mod folder on my :F drive and make a shortcut from it to my desktop

Has been awhile since playing a Stalker game and or mod.. Can I play this on the Steam game? I had all the games on retail disc but had a fire and lost everything- computer- game dics' clothes everything.. So now all my Stalker games are on Steam.. This looks sounds great- I would love to play it if can.. Oh I hope it uses original scopes- I never liked the mod ones- if uses the mod scopes maybe it is a way to change them to original ones?

I have downloaded the full 1-4-12 ver- will get 7-zip.. So can I play on Steam- do I have to change elua and place the mod folder in game like older mods for stalker games- been a few years I forget exactly..

what the chit does that mean-- i installed the freaken patch and it installed everything- new activex xvid all the chit mudder ******- I bet ive played the mudder ****** more times than you a *******- shut the **** up. I am not your mother you are talking too a smart mouth mudder ******..

as per instructions and i deleted all saves- and the 1 stupid mod i did install for the ****** up scopes was rewritten when installed the ******* patch->

Due to the changes in storyline and engine, it's required to start a new game after you installed this update.
Your previous saves will not work.
This patch is cumulative, so you don't need to install the previous (1.30013) patch at all.
The patch installer will wipe out your gamedata directory so backup whatever mods you've installed
Beware, mods made for 1st patch will not work with this 2nd patch until mod makers make them compatible. We can not give support in this case.

delete the user itx with low defaults it started fine-- set everything and dx10 or 10.1 like before ctd ctd qwbvdbvWDF-- Junk

Since the new patch the game has only half worked- in fact 99% of the time it ctd on loading screens or as soon as the steam pop up..

Played it before last patch no probs- only diff is I have installed Skype and voice chat on it sometimes with my gf- but even if restart my pc and do not run skype it goes crazy and ctd-- the other day I did run around in new game for 5 mins ctd-- no logs no nothing just crash..

all settings etc are same- tho I have not checked the itx or made changes to it like before turn off legs etc-- maybe I should I do not know.. Really do not care.. I have played stalker soc this would be 70x and have like 8,000 hours in it-- not like I am missing anything-- last game was ok- I had to fix a few bugs along the way and add standard scopes vs the suck mod junk- but was ok-- nope not added any mod this game it will not even run..

I also own my own pc-- I will delete the user itx see if that helps- who knows-- not so much I am complaining-- just saying what the game is or not doing when it ran fine before the patch..I need steam running and the overlay- I have friends to keep up with - rather my gf even tho playing stalker sp.

What did I equipe- If I remember right nothing was on my belt- maybe the artifacts I can't remem now but I added my rifle some bullets turned on my headlamp and night vis within a few secs before flipping the main switch and fighting the controller..

Soon as I woke upstairs I would hurry and run over to the right search the body and pick up the pda and run down the steps while equipping a few things and ran and turned off the main switch.

Normally the controller had not left that room yet- using the knife seemed to bring him down the fastest for me- but I killed myself 2x by falling off of the walkway- well he killed me because of that and my brain exploded. Get to and kill him as fast as possible- after that you are very dizzy- kill all zombified on your way to the other switches- it is easy enough...
