Yes, "Crash as a result of alt-tabbing while in full screen" is a known issue.

Demo version ends on the way to the first meeting with Tamagami. If you are proceeding in the chapter two, you are playing the full game.

Sadly this isn't a thumbs up, thumbs down rating system, that's why it has 10 levels instead of 2. Your 1 dropped the average rating of the game from 9.3 to 8.7.

The day after the release we got a troll vote of 1 from a guy who voted a series of games 1, including Portal 2. And now yours, a few more of these and we'll be the lowest rated game on Desura even with all the praises the game is getting.

The combat is a mix of chess and battleship. You lose if you lose your commander (king), each unit (piece) moves and attacks differently and there is a constant fog of war involving firing blind salvos and hoping to hit all squares of bigger units (battleship).

The story segments are of usual length for Japanese games, even shorter than the usual for the other games that use the same VN style.

All in all I don't believe "I don't mean that the game is bad, but it really could have been designed to play better." deserves the 1 rating that you gave. A 1 would be absolutely unplayable, downright broken piece of software that you'd hardly call a game.

99 Spirits, the next release of Fruitbat Factory, is one of the candidates for Indie Dev Grant competition. Vote for it to help us on our mission to let everyone enjoy the best Japanese indie games in English.

When you buy a bundle from Bundle-in-a-box.com and look at the bottom of your keys page, you'll see the voting poll for the Indie Dev Grant. Vote for 99 Spirits there.

You only need to see a story chapter once, after that the game takes a note of you having read it and from the config menu you can tell it to skip those altogether or ask you if you want to the next time around. (When replaying to get the other endings and more powerful unique units)

Alternatively, if you really don't like story segments, you can press CTRL key to fast forward them. I wouldn't do that though, I like this type of a light-hearted anime comedy story once in a while. Not always though. :)

Please download the standalone versions under the 'Purchased Downloads' tab to the right. Desura client versions under the 'Releases' tab above are having problems due to heavy server loads. We will update this message when Desura support notifies us the problem is solved.

You can copy your save files between these versions without problems.
