Timidity and other midi drivers do not work on my computer. Its due to the onboard sound card I have, none of them cooperate with it because it doesn't have any midi functionality whatsoever.

I use VirtualMidiSynth for midi synthesis instead. While this mod seems great, the fact the mod keeps trying to force-on Timidity bugs me because I have a solution for loading soundfonts on this computer but your mod keeps forcing it off. There is simply no conceivable way Timidity will ever work on this device unless I buy a soundcard, so I'm kind of SOL on getting the music to work on this mod, unless you either patch out the script or whatever that is forcing Timidity to be on, or you put out a .ogg patch and disable that script.

Sorry for the inconvenience otherwise but it really is impacting my ability to enjoy this.

Where's Ronald Street?

Edit:
Wait, just figured out you can look at the maps. Doh.

You wanna know what this mod needs, as well as most horror games in general? Scariness slider.

All the way down, no jump scares appear but nothing else is changed. All the way up, all jump scares appear. Maybe mix and match different settings to give an extra sense of tension on your next playthrough. c:

I imagine such a setting could rake in people who wanna play horror games for the gameplay, not to be scared. That's just me, though.

Since the forums are gone, I felt I should post this here.

When I try to extract the maps from Half-Life 2 content.gcf, I noticed that the maps that lack HDR lighting take up no space whatsoever. Extracting these gives me an error (even though it still extracts a file with nothing on it) and it can't be used in-game.

Any help? I'm really getting p-o'ed right now.

Edit:
Also: before any person makes this stupid comment, YES I can play Half-Life 2 and YES the maps that are missing work in-game. That's because the maps that have HDR lighting are in a separate GCF.
