I make Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption Mods and I also have a really cool YouTube channel called Manda-LORE. I Like Star Wars (Old EU exclusivley), Love Lord of the Rings, and Warhammer 40,000 is pretty neat as well.
For SerakAlikhwa (formerly Hope on moddb) who has been going around relentlessly trolling my groups to the point where I had to set membership to apply only and make them private and is now doing the same to the mandalorians group on moddb
Sharing an image and a few videos of current canon Mandalorians does not constitute as trolling in my eyes. I may not like current canon but pretending it doesn't exist would be foolhardy.
At least in my humble, uneducated opinion.
Normally I would agree, but this particular guy has been spamming new canon stuff all over most Star Wars groups here to the point that it pretty clearly qualifies as trolling and he has been deleting comments on his posts just for disagreeing with his opinions (mostly ones stating that they prefer old canon). This is also the second account he's been doing it with (first one may have gotten banned/deleted, not sure).
So yeah, **** him.
Right but when he's contentiously doing it, not because he enjoys it, but to inflame others who disagree, and then to delete any comments that disagree, is trolling. As I've said on the Mandalorians group, I have no problem with people posting new canon stuff, but hes spamming it to the point were it's burying everything other people post who are actually passionate about the subject.
It doesn't help that with the last site update to Moddb, Authors of content are now free to delete comments on whatever they post, rather than the way it was before where only members of a group with special permissions were able to delete comments.
If he were actually passionate about the new canon, he would keep all comments on his posts, and even respond to them in a manner sparking intellectual discussion. But no, hes intentionally deleting the comments that disagree to anger those people. That's how he gets his kicks.
Ah, I see.
Well that brings the subject matter in new light and I am now able to formulate a humble and educated opinion.
His actions constitute as harmful to the health of the community and should cease.
right but who's gonna make him? he's just gonna keep doing what he does. and there in lies the problem
Ishukone yeah and that's people like you.
Deleting other peoples comments who disagree is childish. leave my groups alone and stop harassing them.
If you truly are a star wars fan and like the new canon, that's great but don't go burying other people's stuff and deleting comments who dissagree with the Di$canon
There seems to be a breed of star wars fan out there that follows the old canon to a religous level and anyone else who speaks out against it is criticized and and labeled "not a true star wars fan"
