Why is my game no longer launching. now it just tries to open the .jar file when i click on it in my Desura games list and wants me to extract it to a folder.

In the game if you start research, you can go do other things and research continues, but if you die in middle of research it cancels your research and you lose the resources you used for starting the research and you have to start all over again. Is it supposed to be like this now as i am sure it was not like this before. It is making you stand around bored waiting for research to tick past, because if you go outside to do anything you risk dying and losing your research and the resources. Can you clarify if this is supposed to be the case?

Hi, I had this game on Indievania, which did not work for me and i had contacted you previously and you had added me a download on the Spacebitz website so i was able to download it, but now i am no longer able to download it anywhere now that the website is no longer available, is there anything that can be done?

Can doors or trapdoors be set up to open using switches? Anyone know and if so how is it done, the switches description seems too suggest you can but i can't figure it out.

When mining i am getting my inventory filling up with stacks of 8 of invisible item seems to happen so far when mining dirt i will now and then get an extra sound effect as if more than 1 item has been picked up, any one else getting this?

Yeah, there is something strange with some of the people voting 1 and 2. This game does not deserve such a low score, there are game way worse than this and a lot less finished too getting higher scores. Look at Edge Of Space, it has mostly 10s and it has so little to do in it and is way from unfinished.People want to give a score that reflects the game, not a 1 or a 2 just becuase there annoyed about 1 thing not working or they bought the game and it didn't turn out to be what they expected that's just petty. I definitely agree with your comment.

The cable will be red when you drag it from generator and go green when you place it on socket, but only on the same floor as generator, once you cross a floor or a wall, even when the wall is on the same floor the cable will stay red when you go to the socket. The same with glowing cable, plus glowing cable doesn't glow either just looks same as electric cable when placed.

I don't get why when a game is released but still being continually developed gamers have to bitch at the devs, they said for ages it would be ongoing after release. If you think it's not up to scratch yet then don't play it and come back to it later when theres more added. Theres no need for all the negativity, some people just need to take a chill pill.

A lot of Indie devs do stage releases where there game is released and continually developed, i myself dont see anything wrong with that. They don't get huge funding like big developing houses. The game is good and the developers have been making it better and better and a lot quicker than Edge of Space and a hell of a lot more to do too. It's worse when devs sell there game then don't bother afterwards, but the devs for Darkout have a lot planned for the game.

Hey Aebeninnga, doesn't seem to matter what game it is these days, some have to go real negative about stuff without giving it a chance. PC gamers seems to be the worse for it. Your doing a great job and i am sure there are a few of us on this board here that have faith that you will deliver something awesome when you have completed the project. The game is great so far and i am sure it will just get better and better. Keep up the great work, there are some of us that appreciate the time and effort it takes to make indie games, and i have the greatest respect for what you guys do and have accomplished so far.

WOW!! I mined all the way to the Underworld and never found 1 piece of crystal, i hope there is some in my world.

The Switch still can't be researched

I don't see the issue with the version number, developer have to go to Version 1.0 and beyond at some point, plusthe developers are trying to get Steam Greenlight , Valve don't allow version number below 1.0 from what i have read previously from other developers. Maybe Allgraf are just working too hard and advancing the game too quick for everyone too take aboard :) lol

put a socket up on wall, then drag an electric cable from combinator to socket and one from socket to workbench and that powers it up, have to make sure its not too far away or you need more sockets to span distance

Not too keen on the mouse over icons, they get in the way on the crafting menu, when you get a shovel icon or a chest icon etc when trying to click your crafting window stuff. Hope they fix that.

ooh!! now going into minus research points is the last straw, ain't playing this game no more until this stupid minus research point for crafting stuff is fixed. It's just counter productive.

even crafting blocks removes your research points, i thought it was 1 point per items crafted but its actually -1 point per crafted block, resource etc.

I have just noticed crafting certain items example resources actually removes your research points, whats going on? This is getting silly

Shift right clicking some items make the item vanish and not appear in inventory so you lose the item altogether, also swapping items in inventory and such make the item still on cursor but invisible so you dont really know its there until you drop it in inventory

They have screwed up research points now, craft 1 item = 1 point , make 300 = 1 point, make 300 individually by clicking 300 times = 300 research point, another balls up.

Also get a lockup when clicking Exit Game, and have to Alt Ctrl Del

The Switch in the Research won't allow you to research it, and i have the points for it and it is white and ready an able to be researched just doesn't work

he he!! I spoke too soon, just got a crash while putting cables up for my ceiling lights. Typical :)

I was getting a lot of crashes with crafting a while back with just locking up, but it hasn't happened to me since the patches. They are working on another patch for within the next couple of days or so aebanninga said the other day. Keep your fingers crossed and hope that one fixes your problem as its a real pain when it crashes, especially when you just really want to get down to playing the game.

i have posted most game problems here and the devs have been usually very good at responding, apart from the couple of days where a patch is going to be released. Probably very busy then.
