Nevermind, just going with vanilla for now. Thanks.
Nevermind, just going with vanilla for now. Thanks.
Ive googled this and I cant find a solution. During the installation, there is an option to install the flaming sword indicators while attacking. I did NOT select this, however I still get the flaming sword. I absolutely hate that thing. Is there any way to get rid of it? Thanks.
Thanks Virus, and Vandrerer. Hope this isn't a double post. I don't see the one I just wrote. I will try your fix. And again, please know Im not bashing the mod at all. I was just flustered last night. Its a brilliant mod and Im loving it so far. I suppose Im just being picky. Thanks again. :)
Yeah that's worth a shot thanks. I really want to play the mod. I don't want it to sound like im bashing the mod, cause im not at all. I love it. Im probly just being picky. :)
Yeah, I remember him saying that. I thought that just changed the frequency though.
I'll start off again by saying this is a lovely mod. A lot of hard work was put into this, and it shows. With that said, Im kinda upset and it's probably something Im doing wrong. I know a lot of people like the random blowouts. They are pretty and well done. But, I just don't like them. I tried. Like I said, maybe im doing something wrong, but they are happening often, and its just insta death for me. I have no real gear yet. Im still at the beginning of the game.
I tried changing enabled = false in blowout.ltx but they still happen. I tried deleting the scripts for blowouts, and they still happen. Then again, I don't claim to know anything about actual mod writing. Reinstalled the mod and now my game is broken. Im not mad about that, that's probably something I did wrong / can fix. But for now, Im just kind of done. Is there any real way to just make blowouts NOT happen? The only downside to that is, I understand that the one that happens at the NPP was disabled. :( That's the only one I really even cared to experience. I really, really want to use your mod because I love it, minus blowouts.
And that's the default values. Can I change them to whatever number? I don't want to enter something crazy and break the blowouts. Say for instance if I changed the MIN to 18, and max to 36.
So I've decided to leave the blowouts enabled and man Im glad I did. Very cool and very fun indeed. Nice work on that CrommCruac.
Is there any way to change the frequency of them, be it higher or lower? Or is it just completely random?
Ok nevermind what I said about turning off the sky. :)
Really? I thought the npp blowout was part of the tension at that part of the game. Its disabled? Hmm, well Ill just leave them enabled then. :) Thanks for your replies, I appreciate it.
Hit shift + enter. I think in your enb options theres one to turn off the sky. Try not, that sure if it will give you the desired effect or not, but worth a shot.
Ok, just wanted to make sure that didn't affect vanilla blowouts, only the random ones correct? Id hate to lose them all ha.
I think my question may have gotten lost in all of the activity here, which is ok. :) I'll post again. Will setting [blowout] enabled = true to false disable random blowouts? And will that affect the scripted blowouts?
Theres a link the on the FAQ page that takes you to a mod that will get rid of the minimap. The other stuff, Im not sure.
Will setting [blowout] enabled = true to false disable random blowouts? And will that affect the scripted blowouts?
Ok cool, makes sense. Thank you sir. Things are looking great so far. :)
Im not noticing an option changer this time. Am I missing it? If I want to change something should I uninstall the mod first or just run the .exe again and pick different options? Silly I know, but sometimes things require an uninstall, sometimes not.
That seems to make some sense. You sure you didn't move its location after you started uploading?
That's a shame to hear. Sorry it's giving you such problems. I'll just have to conjure up one more day of patience. I'm sure you'll fix it. :)
I would also like to thank you guys for the work you've put into this. It's been a tough wait cause I have really wanted to be playing, but I know it will be worth it :)
Thanks again.
Ah ok. I guess I can try that if this mod has a similar folder. Thanks :)
Ok, only other question about that was: Are you able to disable random blowouts through system.ltx like I have seen in other mods, or will that break story elements? I only ask, cause to be honest, I think I might like it better without the random blowouts. But if they are there, I will just deal with them. :)
Are the random blowouts an optional feature in the install? Or are they just default?
Very good to hear. Looking more and more forward to this coming out. Thanks for the reply. :)
Id like to know this too. It says there are some improved textures. Will these affect performance? Also, I do not run the ENB.
I don't know. You might want to hold out just a few more days. From what Ive read, theres some pretty cool changes and additions coming with 2.05. Ive stopped my 2.04 playthrough to wait for this. I know your pain. Luckily I wasn't very far into the game at all.
I get the feeling its going to pop up any day now. Just hold out!
This is excellent, Im starting an 11 day vacation around there. Going to be lots of Stalker in my future. :)
Vandrerer,
Just curious, did you happen to correct the dates that display in the PDA? I was playing 2.04 and realized it said 2007. The game takes place in 2012. It also displays some of the encyclopedia dates wrong as well. Such as the second event taking place in 2008, when its actually 2006. Its a bit odd to read about something happening in a year we haven't even reached yet. :)
With that said, this is a VERY minor gripe and Im probably just being picky. This is a fantastic mod and I can't wait for 2.05 to come back out so that I can play it. Very nice job. :) Thank you for all of the hard work.
