All the months saving and buying one piece at a time, seems never ending when you start, but when that is the only way you can do it, patience is your friend.
To be honest, it is a budget build, the processor is a Pentium G3258, it only has 2 cores but comes unlocked, perfect for overclocking. It's a cheap but potent chip.
I went with the water cooling because I have never tried it before, should help keep the temp down and I can always upgrade to an i5 later. Ditto the motherboard, no sli, but it's a z97 chipset and again perfect for an i5 or greater.
I just got a Corsair H80i GT water cooler. Yours looks pretty similar (maybe a h60i or h80i?) How cool does your CPU run? I have to wait till Tuesday for the cooler to get here from Amazon.de
Mine is the H75, on idle it's about 24, I stress tested it with Prime75 for an hour overclocked to 4.0ghz with a max temp of 54. This should keep it cool enough for a 4.5ghz overclock, possibly more. The H801 should manage a bit more, but be careful. I have mine blowing air out of the case, you can also run them blowing air into the case.
I swopped over the 2 fans that came with the H75 for 2 X 120mm SP Corsair fans with blue leds. Use the SP fans if you do this, SP = Surface pressure, AF Fans = Air Flow. Use SP fans for radiators etc and AF for Case Fans.
I don't know how much room you have in your case, but I find it easier to fit the CPU cooler before fitting the Radiator and it's Fans, and fit the 3pin header connectors first as well.
Yeah, I probably will swap the stock fans for Noctua 120mm fans. The max I'll run my 2500k is probably 4.3ghz, which should handle my more graphically intense games that have mods such as ENBs, 2k-4k retextures, etc. Thanks for the quick reply though! Have fun with that awesome rig, bro!
Monster, Monster garage :D
Next is the overclocking, haha...what could go wrong... :/
Maybe you should stay away from that :p if your rig is a beast enough then feel satisfied :D
I envy you Mr.Dave ;)

It sure is! How'd the overclock go?
Got the cpu to 4.2ghz, it seems stable, will stress test it then try for 4.5ghz.
Ahuh.. that's nice to hear :D Good luck on testing out the 4.5Ghz
Awesome!
What are the specs on that thing?

Graphics card?
It's my old MSI GTX 650 Ti Boost TwinFrozr Gaming 2 GB, I bought it last September, seems to punch above it's weight.

Thanks man, and yourself :)
Now that's a beast
Hey, long time good to hear from you again
Yeah, cool beans.
How's it going?
Well now I got decent PC running, it's going very well. Nice to see you back round these parts.
Hope all is good with yourself.
Yeah I noticed you got a new one, nice job
I'll be checking on moddb more often this time as well xD
So what games are you into lately? I'm supposing you got quite a lot due to your new pc
Oh no change there, Stalker, Stalker and Stalker :D Though I will get Fallout 4 when it's released later this year.
Nice, you should try out World of Guns if you're interested in learning more about weapons xD
If you ever get it, add me on steam
