I agree! I was always a big fan of RE2 and remains my favorite of the series. :D
Oh crap... I never liked those stairs leading to the basement... XD
I'm not sure if you're rushing on this.. but the textures on the desk look a bit strange. It seems like it needs to have a smaller texture with higher resolution. In your earlier works... there was more attention to detail. Otherwise, good to see more work done on this. :)
Agreed as well, with a game like this... short-cuts aren't the way to go.
Isn't this where you find the sub-machine gun?
The way I remembered was the hallway was dark. Maybe tone down the light source a bit?
I'm thinking he really just needs to change the color and resolution of the texture.
Seriously... it looks EXACTLY like it! :D
Wait... how have I not heard of this?1 It's my all-time favorite RE of the series. And people played a demo of it? Let me know! XD
Nice pic. The only thing (and this is minor) is the yellow-to-black stripes. On the bottom-right and top-left, they don't seem to have that transition as the counter parts. Other than that, it looks good.
I'm sure it's on their mind. Once someone brave enough to give enemy animation a try... they'll be glad to update on this once again. :)
Nice! :) Always good to see work being done on this. Always been a huge fan of the older Resident Evil games. :)
I don't know what's going on... but that thing looks kick ***! :D
Maybe in the future... if you end up getting some people interested in doing monsters... you could do patches and updates. But... in the end, that might be more work than needed. Anyway, I'm waiting for it to be done downloading... can't wait to play it! :D
Adding the right amount of texture and color makes a big difference... so that definitely helps. Big props to both of you. :)
Maybe he can change the left side of steps to a ramp to make it more believable. :)
I like the beams. It makes the hallway look more dynamic.
The lighting in this pic really brings it to life. The realism shows with the light shining on the '2B' sign. It just looks beautiful. :D
The irony of your avatar...
I'm beginning to think there is more to this than the training process... But that is a good thing in my mind! :D
Ah, I see. Now I remember! :D
I this the place before the first Licker is encountered?
I remember this place very well. :D
I agree with this. I like when weapons have recoil because it makes it feel more powerful and realistic.
Very nice! :D As the others have said... it looks a lot more than a simple Half-Life 2 mod. Really looking forward to it!
Very nicely detailed! I like raised panel design on the walls. Looking forward to this! :D
Wouldn't it be pretty cool if there was "time" involved in this game? I'm not saying where the sun goes by fast, but gradually so it shows changes in shadows. Or even... adding "wind" to make the shadows from the trees move. Eh... that's asking a lot but would be nice to see anyway. :)
This is some nice lighting as well as the scare factor!
I have to agree. Maybe they can add some sort of "angled glare" to suit the style. Otherwise, the whole thing looks great.
I think you mean Nightmare House 2? :)
This area in the original game was quite scary.
I think it's a bit too grungy. I think it could use a deeper base in place of the grunge noise. I like it anyways.
It's almost like cel-shaded realism. Looks very nice!
This seems interesting. I like the idea of being rewarded with finding secrets. And it gives you a reason to explore the areas more. I'll be tracking this. :)
I really like the file cabinet. Looks realistic.
The overall structure of it seems a bit bland. Maybe add some space and put some support columns in place so it doesn't look so cramped like Explosive_Cheese said.
It looks like Perfect Dark... and that's not a bad thing! Looks great!
I'm seriously getting chills just looking at this pic!
Very cool! I really like where this is headed. :)
Really nice background! Question: Are we going to be hearing the sounds of rain and waves in the background? I think that would make it quite atmospheric. :)
I really like the window panes. Looks stylish.
Looking forward to ******** my pants playing this...!
I think that it was supposed to be a joke. It's obviously too clean. A little scratch here and there doesn't hurt the rocket launcher either. :)
Now it's easier to understand. :) I definitely get your point on trying to stay as true to the original as possible but with new light environments.
I think the first one COULD be usable if the creases between the bricks were deeper. The way it looks now makes it almost "flat". And the two-tone color would have to be between the bricks, not in the middle of the brick itself. I do like the 4th one though. It looks more "3D" than the rest and has a bit more detail. Also, are those the permanent colors you've chosen or is it there just for show?
IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL! :) But seriously, I can't believe how professional it looks. Well... I can, since I see it, haha. I always would have this pop up in my mind and wonder how things were going. And to see and update to this is awesome! I'm definitely excited to play this! :D
Nice work! I'm liking the darkened feeling to this. :)
If it weren't for the Combine "objects" in the pic... I'd say you could fool anyone saying this is real life!
This room looks amazing! I especially love the colors. In the center of the room, are those inlay steps? If so... it gives it more depth, which is good!
