Hey guys, very sorry about the images. Imgur must of been down when the article was posted! If they still aren't visible can you let us know? we can see them fine.
Thank you for the support guys :) we'll be putting out some rather large updates very early this year too which we're all very excited about!
Hi drjd24 :)
If you already own the game, follow the steps provided at the top of the news post. Also just to be clear, its a pre-alpha release (feature incomplete) experimental version of the multiplayer game. Not a Beta.
Thanks for your question and support :)
Thanks for the love Frenchiveruti! plenty more to come this week as well :)
Hi Ferdyfist
Good question! it's a combination of both really. Because we want to develop much larger play spaces for exploration and variety we need something that allows us to quickly and simply paint in large areas with a single click, and at the same time randomise the assets we create for it.
Thanks for the question Ferdyfist,
The current world (island) is one and a half kilometers of area to explore. We are currently working on an 8 kilometer map for the multiplayer Alpha. Multiple islands (maps) are something we would like to deliver in the future, but one big open world is our current plan for the Alpha :)
Hi Bmikes
Thanks for the support! and yes we most definitely have plans for co-op play in the future :) You can see any current development progress via our public Trello board here - Trello.com
Hi Shakes, yes we're planning larger world objectives. There are some clues in the game already regarding what that is, namely the shower of debris you see at the start of the game. While it is primarily survival based we want to add more to the story of the world as we develop the game past multi-player.
We'll be releasing more specific information about objectives in the near future, but only when we're happy with how they feel/play in the game, as we are very conscious about making them enjoyable first.
Hi Emiya-Archer. There shouldn't be a problem running it with the 7850, It is pretty much the equivalent of a 560Ti Nvidia card.
It's just below minimum spec that we have defined, but we're playing it safe saying 600 series.
One of our artists uses the same card in his home machine (Radeon 7850) and it runs the game just fine. Providing you meet the other requirements :)
Hi Dreamer, thanks for the comment :) We hope so too. Our aim is to make the game the best it can be through Early Access.
Keep watching videos and other players responses to Eden Star in the mean time, and hopefully you will like the features we have in there already.
Is there anything in the game you're looking forward to seeing in particular? We would love to hear from you about it! :)
Appreciate the compliment BloodRaven. We want to give everyone the most bang for their buck with Eden Star. As you might of heard we'll be continuing to develop and expand the game with everyone's input after our initial pre-alpha early access release. We can say for certain that you won't be paying as much as $60 for it during early access :)
Thanks gty14 :) We can say we're submitting to steam greenlight over the next month, So look out for that. Thanks for the kind words.
You will have the ability to re-shape the world, however, it won't be voxel based. We're modifying the apex system to create more realistic destruction, It won't be to the same extent of voxel based systems, but we're hoping everyone will find it more satisfying to destroy our world because of this :). The pride of the game mechanics will be mainly focused on structure construction, beautiful destruction, player vs A.I combat, and a unique and interesting upgrade system.
On the way very soon :) !
Hi Fukuryu, your brief will be sent out to you at the beginning of next week :) have a great weekend.
I'm in love with the look of this already, the world art is amazing, and the click and drag construction actually looks really good fun! +1 Tracker from me :)
You're very welcome :) really love the look of what you guys are putting together.

Origionally worked on the half life 2 modification - Nightfall in 2006/07. I'm currently studying for a qualification in computer game art while I compile a more comprehensive portfolio. Some work examples can be found below, so if you're interested drop me a comment. Personally I dabble in all areas of art, but I'm more comfortable with building environment assets. Presently working as an artist on a modification called 'The Spire' for the Unreal development kit.
