Just use the "Create Server" function, it will automatically show up in the server list if you have the ports forwarded correctly.

If you want a dedicated server, point the installer to your dedicated server directory and then boot Dedicated Server selecting the Counter-Strike 1.0 mod.

I cannot offer anymore help than the above information regarding dedicated servers.

1. Install Half-Life using Steam
2. Boot up half life
3. Exit out of half life
4. Point the installer to the half life folder which is located in your user account folder.

Vista might be the culprit, maybe something with your registry has changed or you're using a different installer. Try using the current one off this site. thanks.

yes, you need half-life 1 on your steam account.

i updated it so that you could have the training missions on Steam.. which was something we forgot in the first version of it. i think you need to calm down ;)

already does work on HL2,

in the "Lobby" go inside the building and go into the room on the left, there should be pictures of maps (and one of a girl for some reason) and press E on the picture. It starts HL2 Campaign if you do that.

Good idea- but this was the worst way you could possibly execute that idea. Sorry- but it was just plain stupid, especially the beginning.
