Pay, you say? Hmm!
It could do with more detail, but I'm happy with it for now - I'm supposed to be a sound designer, so I have to prioritise audio!
I love Supreme Commander, that's why! I made the model myself, though it's based on the model from SupCom (to get the proportions right). I wanted something for which I could make some interesting sounds - making a Monkeylord seemed like the most interesting idea!
Sure is! I made the model myself, though (it's not ripped from the game), and made various changes to it :)
The smaller thing is supposed to be a power generator / node, and the larger thing is just something I designed myself to look 'cybranish'!
You may be pleased to know that I've updated this video with a new version that has REAL guitar!
I'm hoping to make a career in designing sound for video games, this was and is a kind of interactive portfolio. I made it in about 5 months last year, whilst doing four other university modules, so it is lacking in some places simply because I didn't have enough time! I've been working on it again the last couple of weeks, so there'll be an update soon-ish!
You have to load it in the Crysis 2 mod manager, then select mod campaign in the menu! The installer should put the mod in the correct location, which is Crysis 2/Mods.
Hey there, the textures were taken from CGTextures, and I modified them to tile. I'm no expert in texturing, and I agree that it could do to be grunged-up a little. Perhaps we'll simply say that it's been cleaned!
I'm planning to do some more work on this project soon, so there should be updates!
Thanks!
Hey, I'll take a look at that - somebody gave me a suggestion of how I can hide the player's body - as it just kinda floats around without animations at the minute for some reason... Thanks :)
Hey, it will do eventually, I hope - at the moment, it's all about sounds and music - because that's what I've just finished a degree in! I'm planning to expand it over the next few months, adding more music and visuals, and will hopefully recruit a team to help turn it into a game... I just need to WRITE the game first... :P
I'm afraid not, though the church in the background certainly is!

Thanks ;) There's more to come... eventually...
It's not a 'game', as such, mate :P There's nothing to do but wander around :P
Thanks :) There's a little picnic area at the back... if only it was real, you could have a cup of tea and a sandwich... and... uh... hang out with the silent dead. :P
Thanks :) I'm using Kontakt; most of the instruments sound great, but the classical guitar is terrible. Handily, I can play (and own) that instrument - I just need to get around to making the recording...
Yeah, I've had few people mention the footsteps - I haven't modified them in any way from those in the vanilla game - I guess that when the people speak, I should listen! The art is minimalistic because... uh... I'm not an artist :P - and the draw distances are achieved with lots and lots of occlusion planes to cut down the GPU workload... I've only got an XFX HD 6790 - it's not some obsidian, fire-breathing hell-beast of ULTIMATE POWER! (though it is an awesome-looking card, which is why I bought it :D)
I'd LOVE to work on sounds for a horror game, I realised the horror potential of many sounds while stalking through the icy, deserted suburbs with a microphone at 3am...
Cheers - I've spent a long, long time getting it to look right... Need more in the forest, though.
This is astonishing... Though it could be dramatically improved by replacing the ****** music with Aerosmith - like it's supposed to be :P
Is that a heavily-photoshopped view of the forest level? Looks like somebody improved the textures, too...
Looks bloody brilliant! I LOVE the lighting :D
Looks fantastic :) It's a little ambiguous as to what the ship in the distance is resting upon, though - a little less ambient light, and more that is localised maybe? Either way, I can only assume that this project is long-finished, since you uploaded this image in October :P
My philosophy has always been that negative criticism is the best kind of criticism - it gives you things to work on ;)
Ultimately, any additional work relies on there being sufficient time, which there might not be in the immediate future. I have a huge list of things I'd like to do - if I had the time - but sadly, the deadline for this project is Wednesday - four days! Afterwards, of course, I'll continue to develop it, but you might be waiting a while; I'm going to be getting VERY drunk! :P
I will be adding some more ambient sounds - and there are some that weren't working for some reason during that clip. Regarding music, that shouldn't be too difficult to fix up - although it'll require some sneaky fiddling, as I've been unable to figure out the FMod music system - its nomenclature for a start is, IMO, terrible, abstruse, crap, etc. :P
Anyway, thanks for the support ;)
I doubt there'll be any more work on Only War... if anything, we'd continue with OW2, which kinda died... a bit...
Good point :P Are you excited about generals: 2? I'm sure there'll be lots of modding projects for it :D
Cheers dude - it's taken monstrous amounts of time... Now to finish the documentation... seventy pages, and counting... *CRIES* *DRINKS WINE*
Thanks! I've added some decals and other improvements to it since posting this image, I'll have another update soon ;)
