I'm Mark. I contain lungs, a digestive system and various other squishy bits. Minor, trivial imperfections in things make me want to violently murder people. My psychologist thinks this could be a problem.
Thanks! I've added some decals and other improvements to it since posting this image, I'll have another update soon ;)
Thanks - there's a few more sounds required before it's 'complete' - but it works thus far!
Dude, how did you comment on this post? It's not even authorised yet! Also, thanks! :D
Thanks! It'll improve once I've got wind sounds and other ambient audio ;)
Thanks guys :D - I haven't edited the footsteps in any way from the original game... Though I'll take your comments into consideration, it's something I'm planning to do if I get time!
Thanks - there's many MANY hours of modelling there, probably 30-40 ish...
Thanks :D I still need to give it some stained glass window textures, keep tuned!
Thanks :) Still a lot of work to do...
Some indeterminate location in the UK, maybe Scotland, but it's not hilly enough!
He can go chomp my sweaty man-cannon.
Thanks, and uh, there won't be any gameplay as such for the May release - there simply isn't time! The night shot was kind of accidental - it's just the standard lighting - the game was launching at night despite the time of day being set to 13:00 in the editor - I didn't realise that you had to set the T.o.d. in a flowgraph :P
I need to find something which makes more convincing wheat, as I'm using re-coloured rice from Crysis at the minute :P
Mother of god...
Long live The Queen!
Heh, thanks man :D
It's the wonderful CryEngine which is mostly to thank... it's incredible!
hehe, I watched some ZIM! when I read this (um... a week or so ago, sorry for the late reply!)... I'm tempted to name the character after somebody in ZIM! now... Might also add to their dialogue:
LIES! Big filthy earthboy LIES!
Hey, thanks. Since it's a University thing, I HAVE to show what I'm doing, figured I'd do it as pictures for everyone to see ;) Everything creative takes a long time, pretty much :P
I took your advice and updated all three "workflows" - they should be a little more readable, now. Danke ;)
You have a point. A point that I have been considering. As a customer has now complained, I'll go look for a more-suitable font! These things are supposed to be informal, however, so don't expect Arial or Tahoma or something :P
Thanks, it'll never be totally authentic, but it'll be close!
I realise that the model on the lower-right isn't all that great... but it'll do for demonstrating a texture!
Yeah, it's going to take bit of time. I was photographing some texture shots in York yesterday, going to head into town tomorrow and photo the building itself. Might have it done by the end of the week!
Probably advisable to look at the original (full-size) version of this image...
Thanks, news update coming very soon - the cathedral is pretty much done!
